#1 Manual QA
#2 Tech Writing
#3 Business Analyst
#4 Project Manager
#5 Policy Analyst
(Why did you leave out all the creative roles?)
Thank you so much!!! You're the best!!
ОтветитьBukola is sooo FINE.
ОтветитьTech jobs ≠ SWE roles. People commonly mistake them for each other because it's a common misconception that if you aren't a SWE you don't "really work in tech". SWEs are among the highest paid though, which is why they're more sought after/advertised. Bigger companies will offshore or automate testing to avoid paying US employees. Google has fully automated testing & Microsoft offshores a lot of their testing cuz it's cheaper. It's pretty hard to break out of testing into software development.
ОтветитьWhat are qualifications for these jobs
ОтветитьBefore I continue watching, I have to subscribe. I love you Channel and you rock Busola❤❤❤
ОтветитьI'm a BA and my job is 95% coding in SQL and Python to the point where I'm basically data analyst. The amount of coding you do as a BA depends on the company and role
ОтветитьHow can I get a low code/no code job?
ОтветитьHi, I have no tech experience what so ever I have a nursing degree, and I'm back in school for a computer science degree. Do you know of any absolutely entry-level jobs that can get my foot in the door.
ОтветитьPolicy Analyst is exactly the gatekeeper role and people are going to hate you. And yes, this role is direct violation of the first amendment that protects freedom of speech so good luck in the court. If you have excellent attention to the details then choose a QA role. If you are master of communication, planning and organizing things then choose Project Manager role. You will be talking to everyone from CEO to engineers and QA, you will be responsible for everything that goes wrong and have to communicate about that to upper level. You must be an alpha for that role. Business Analyst role usually requires a very deep knowledge in a specific domain - finance, healthcare etc. This role is for people who has a previous education, good at it and want to have a second job. Tech Writer is for people who can actually understand the tech stuff but have never committed to the code whilst have at least minor in literature or something like that. This is job that engineers don't want to do but should have been doing. Unfortunately there is nothing mentioned about digital artists roles - designers, illustrators. Anyone except PM is easy to replace and will be laid off first. If you are bad PM you will laid off at the first project hiccup.
ОтветитьSo Beautiful....
ОтветитьHello Bukky, please, I will like to chat you privately , am desperately in need of help to actually know the way to go, thank you
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьNone are highly paid except of product manager, which you would have to work your way up to. Kind of negates the whole reason of wanting to work in tech.
ОтветитьManifesting a UX Researcher Role… but now Scrum Master looks intriguing and looking into the CSM certification ✨
ОтветитьGreat video for someone who wants to get into IT without coding and is looking for ideas! However the part about Project Manager and Scrum Master was so very wrong and I feel the need to clarify. Project Manager, Scrum Master and Product Owener are all very different roles and they were mushed together here. Anyone who's interested in any of these roles, please look them up separately. The duties you described do not belong to Scrum Master. Yes, the Scrum Master helps the team to work more efficient and stay on track by conducting 5 Scrum Events, but the responsibilities on backlog, planning, review and tasks belong to either a Product Owner, The development team or both. Scrum Master makes sure the Scrum team is following the Scrum framework described in Scrum Guide, helps remove external or internal problems the Team might have that are blocking their productivity, facilitates meetings, helps resolve conflicts and supports Product Owner. What Scrum Master actually does during the day may vary from company to company, because Scrum is a framework and only describes general rules, while the practices are free to be chosen on your own. Project Manager deals with stakeholders, budget and planning and is often alloting tasks while Scrum Master does not (unless someone requires facilitation or a reminder of Scrum principles).
ОтветитьWell done
ОтветитьA lot of sense and thank you. I learned some vital stuff.
ОтветитьSimply brilliant. Great job👍🏽
ОтветитьBla, Bla, Bla. Darling, this is not a 1 Fit’s all Video. Many factors are in play. The more background experience & knowledge plays a vital part in being hired. Coding is a very important factor otherwise it would not exist. Not everybody can do this job and be excellent at it, you make it sound like anybody can do this work which is false. I have to discount your video because it is not an open door for everybody who does not have taken the classes and put hours of hard work in this profession, you have to also face reality of many employers will not hire you if you’re overqualified because Manny will believe that you will be working temporarily and leave them and then they’ll have to go all over again To hire and spend the man hours landing a faithful employee that will stay with the company. Sometimes other companies pay more, money talks. So This video is sugarcoated, please don’t give false hope, peace out.
Ответитьhi am new in coding ,just started in python, need help, projects for beginners, tips and advice.
ОтветитьGreat video. I'm definitely more focused on utilising my PM experience to move into more IT/Tech focused roles. 😉
ОтветитьThank you for enlightening us! I’m trying to pivot in to tech and want to go the project management route. Also looking in to scrum and now policy analyst since I didn’t even know that was a thing!! ✨
ОтветитьI’m sry but I can’t stop staring at your hair, how do you make it softtt?!
ОтветитьDon't forget the sales people, Saas don't sell themselves (usually) :)
ОтветитьI’m not a people person what tech job can I do without having to really interact with people on a day to day
ОтветитьFor God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. John 3:16
If you are yet be saved please make this confession.
Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, that you died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to the Father. I confess and repent of my sins. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. I give myself to you in Jesus name. Amen
Welcome into the family of God.
I'm doing Bsc computer science majoring in mathematical statistics and business information systems, learned all about this roles in 1 semester business information systems .thank you
Ответитьyou still need to understand code
ОтветитьWell you don’t need coding to be a qa, but some companies ask you to know some programming languages
I’m a scrum master and I haven’t found any job 😢 it’s been frustrating because I got my certificate 1 year ago and everyone wants at least a scrum with 5 years of experience.
Anyone know of any companies that use Macs as there main PC that isn't Apple?
Ответитьwhat's the best way to search for a QA job in my area?
ОтветитьI love this …. There’s also Salesforce and they have lots of free learning platform all you have to pay for is you certification £200 or so
ОтветитьHi love your videos! How does one break into manual QA testing without experience? Is there a boot camp you recommend or online courses to take? Thanks so much 💕
ОтветитьAs a BA, I definitely think you have to have a mid-strong understanding of SQL. If you are reporting on data, it is important to communicate exactly what you need when talking to the Dev Ops team. It also is beneficial to know SQL because you can write your own code or edit/update queries as needed without waiting for a developer to do it for you while you are trying to make deadlines.
ОтветитьAlso look into Release Management and Delivery Management people, another non coding role in tech that pays lucratively
ОтветитьYou pronounce your name properly ......lol.. but was super helpful
ОтветитьWhen I was new in IT. (SAP) I'm the BA, Functional, Technical and Tester. Those are my toxic days.
ОтветитьThank you Bukola. This is so timely. Just what I needed at this time. Thank you.
ОтветитьCan I love you please??
ОтветитьThanks for sharing 🙏🏿
ОтветитьHello. I am a political science graduate, but I am seeking a career change to IT field. I want to do Conversion course on IT path thru Masters degree. Pls which IT courses among others can be regarded as the most suitable choice to study esp. for people with very little background in Computer Sci/IT or zero IT experience,?
ОтветитьI’m currently a manual QA tester
ОтветитьWhat is the name of the website where people share their salary made at a certain company?
ОтветитьHi Bukola, Im a nurse and really want to learn something in tech. You’re super smart and I don’t pretend that I can do what you do, but I’m trying to fit in somewhere here. Thank you so very much for your videos.❤️
ОтветитьHow much do scrum masters make? Also in terms of growth, what's the next thing for a scrum master?
Ответитьwhere is part 1?
ОтветитьDear Bukola, totally unrelated but Is that your real hair?
ОтветитьI'd love to learn more about UX roles from your perspective!
