Muzan wouldn't turn Tanjiro bc Hantengu didn't report Nezuko's immunity to the sun in his final moments since she is dead, which, in the original manga, made Muzan believe that Sun Breathers are immune to sunlight when turned. In this scenario, Muzan wouldn't get the idea, thus Tanjiro would not become a demon.

Actally I think for the first one. Yes they would maybe die but tanjiro dad had the talent and skill to pretty much be as close to yorrichi if not a little stronger. So I think honestly Muzan would just get tired of trying to kill Tanjuro and just leave before moring because Tanjuro cant kill muzan without a Nichirin but he can hold him off for along time
