This is a terrible apartment. New Yorkers live like rats or in what is like a kid's tree house and just have low standards. What a cramped, tiny hole in a wall

New Yorkers pay triple rent for claustrophobic shoe box sized living spaces and THEN pretend they don't have the ugliest views and worst noise 24/7. That city is historically iconic but I'd never live in a polluted concrete jungle. Give me trees and fresh air any day. Not 10k a month to say 'what a blessing to have a washing machine in my house'

Why are the doorways so narrow? I am sure moving furniture in would be a nightmare. Ugghh. Those "steps" are more of a ladder. Getting furniture up there must also be lots of fun.

I feel like a spiral staircase would have been more practical in that narrow space or at least a small landing halfway through. It probably feels like you're going to faceplant coming down.

just because the Realtor says that each bedroom will 'fit' a queen-sized bed does not mean you can do it. I rented an apartment where the bedroom 'fit' a queen-sized bed.
First thing I noticed was that it had no door. The bedroom was open to the hall. When I put my queen-bed into the bedroom, it filled the room from wall to wall to wall to wall. Once it, the mattress filled the entire room. I had to crawl over the bed to get into the bed. I had to undress in the hall or while ON the bed.
Legally, they told the truth but that did not make it honest.

That is 100% not even close to the strangest apartment in Manhattan 😂😂😂 not by a loooooong shot.

The high ceilings look nice, but a complete waste of space. Could be another living space of a couple bedrooms..
