The new version stinks in so many ways. The colors are aweful, the coverage is terrible, and it smells bad. I left Terte for Estée Lauder, but wish they would bring old version back but I was told it’s because this new version is cheaper to make so they make more money. Figures.

New Tarte Amazon Clay Foundation has horrific perfume/fragrance in it and now I can't wear it. They ruined a great foundation.

It’s so comforting reading all the comments about not being happy with the new formula! I have been putting up with it since it was released because I am dreading going through the process of finding a new foundation but I am so over how bad my makeup looks these days. It just looks so cakey and heavy, even using a small amount. Has anyone found another foundation that’s similar to the old formula?

The new foundation feels like it has too much fragrance and the whipped texture cakes up way more on my face with the beauty blender. The old one did not. The new one doesn’t hold up on my skin, it really breaks up and clings more to dry patches. I wish they would bring back the old formula

It dries you out (new one) and looks lighter than the old. It's cakey, not a fan of the new, bring back the old formula!

What kind of primer do you use? I don’t have oily or dry skin. The new tarred foundation matched my skin type so so so well but around my eyes, forehead lines and smile lines, it seperated and looks terrible. Everywhere else looks amazing. I’m so sad because it could be a great one but I hate that it separates on the lines. 😔 I use hourglass veil primer. Maybe I need an oilier primer? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have dry flakey skin and the original tarte foundation was the only foundation that worked on my skin. So obviously I’m disappointed by the change in formula which I’m guessing is going to be terrible on me. Anyone know a dupe?

It is cakey with a horrible smell and I'm so sad they got rid of the SPF.
Bring back the old formula!!!

This was always my favorite foundation for my oily skin. The new one was not only different in wearability but it wad a different color than the same shade in the old formula

I hate the new one!!! I wasted $40 and it suck’s really bad, it wears off in a couple hours, the texture is spotty, and the coverage is way less. I loved the old one in the eggplant colored tube. I had a bit left and cut the top off the old tube to get every little bit out. I was able to compare them when I bought the new package and I could absolutely tell they changed the formula. It literally sticks to every crease and blemish and Magnifies them. Literally in 5 mins it looks awful! I hate when they change a product when they update the packaging, hoping the consumer won’t notice! 😤🤬… I was searching to see if anyone had the same experience with this product changing, so thank you for taking the time to review!

The new formula is terrible and way off!!! Now I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to go through the trial and error of finding a new foundation all over again. Why didn’t they warn us ahead of time so that I could stock up

I love the old one. This new one is not working out for me. I look too yellow and fake.

Sephora told me only the packaging had changed but I realized this was wrong as soon as I tried it on. The shade and tone Fair Beige is completely different now. It’s much lighter and peachier now so I will have to return it. I might try to find correct shade but beginning to like Korean cushion foundation better.

I had the original in the exact same one you had 35 medium neutral. And was so bummed they didn't have the same shade in the new version so I bought the same shade in the new version you had in this video. I feel like the new version is so much lighter! My face is pale 😒 . I loved the original version. So bummed they changed it

I used to LOVE the original one. It was my first non-drugstore foundation lol I haven’t used it in so long though. I thought I saw a difference when you first put them on (the newer one seemed a teeny bit more matte?), but they both seemed to wear the same. And girl, your makeup is FLAWLESS 😘😘

The old one is my holy grail foundation...except in the winter. My skin is too dry for it. I finally got it deeply discounted last year. And now they come out with a new one, LOL.

The new doesn’t have glitter in it like the older. I’m glad it didn’t give me reaction. Has a tiny smell but doesn’t last. Honestly it does give full coverage. The older version I did like but was definitely medium and had a lot of yellow/orange undertone. So glad they have olive tones! I’m more olive tone and love that I have something in my tone! I went into my Ulta and the old one wasn’t fully stocked. They had a lot of the new product in place of old. Also had a display upfront too! People say they are keeping the old one but I don’t know. I have combo skin and I wonder if this will make me dry in the winter months. The older one did in places. We will find out 🙃

I wasn’t able to use the old one because I’m allergic to a lot of spfs and it would make my face so itchy! I really want to try this new one now, I also feel like it wore slightly better in the long run. Thanks for doing this comparison review 💕🥰

I love the original Amazonian clay foundation is been my favorite for a long time. I have oily skin and works out perfectly for me. I say if it’s not broken then don’t fix it. By the being said I won’t be purchasing the new one.

I used to love the OG Amazonian Clay because I have oily, acne prone skin, but with all the skin tints and lightweight products we have this year, the new one might have to wait. It’s nice to see that the formula hasn’t changed that much though, besides the SPF. Thank you for the amazing, helpful review and comparison ❤️
