I personnally think Oogway intentionally refused to Tai Lung the Dragon Scroll to test his emotions

No.

To truly feel peace, you must overcome war.

To truly feel welcome, you must overcome rejection.

Oogway has rejected the warriors in order to find the one that has the capability to overcome. Tai Lung succumbs to darkness as he cannot cope with his anger.

Never once Po thinks he is the strongest. Never once Po thinks he is worthy of being the Dragon warrior. He is more humble than any of the potential Dragon warrior as they think of themselves as destined to be the Dragon Warrior.

They may be strong outside, but Kung fu comes from within. That's why Po is perfect.

My theory oogway’s age got the better of him and he has dementia

Okay there are a few Problems with Oogway being called a Villain. well, for starters...

1.He created a Utopia where people can live in peace and not live in fear from Bandits and Warlords
2. Trained Multiple kung fu Masters to protect people all across China, beyond the valley of Peace.
3. Was Kind to Po Despite his physical appearance, setting aside stereotypes to help Po be the truest him he can be

and to defend some of the Points Here, Feng Huang's Origin story isn't all that explored outside of a 2d animated sideshow, nor is Oogway's Reaction. for all we know, Feng could of already been breaking bad by the time she challenged oogway, I mean she might of gone on her own rampage, but the 2d animators didn't want to be overworked or something (also you act as if how it is presented is how it actually happened in real time or literally). and because this may of stayed ingrained into his Mind, he grew weary of arrogant Students, such as Tai Lung...who by the way was Not his responsibility, But shifu's. as a matter of fact, It was really shifu's fault Tai Lung became what he is, as all his Building up and ego-inflating was bound to eventually crash down, and instead of bracing him for failure, he made him failure intolerant, which caused his Rampage of course, which oogway stopped. also, Most of the villains you mentioned Oogway had no effect on, it was just their own arrogance and vileness that made them who they are.

the true reason tai lung was rejected is because they already have a tiger in the furious five.

The thing is that he sensed a dark path, but made that Pat he sent the dirt path, but he could’ve talk to him to delay the dark path, but him not talking to him, makes the dark path Appear the main villain of kung fu panda. One is the best example he sends darkness, but instead of talking to a student, he just sent him away, causing his dark path.😊

Kung Fu Panda is an amazing movie in the fact that it is interlaced with multiple themes and subtexts. One if those is an overarching philosophical debate over which philosophy common in China is superior: Daoism (represented by Master Oogway) or Confucianism (represented by Master Shifu).

Daoism is a philosophy based on going with the flow of life and accepting things as they come. Confucianism is a philosophy based on order and discipline. Those explanations are very oversimplified, but those are the basics.

Why does Oogway wait until seemingly the last minute to act? He’s going with the flow of nature, and refuses to do anything unless absolutely necessary. Why does Shifu obey Oogway without question when Oogway said Ty Long couldn’t be the Dragon Warrior? The main philosophy of Confucianism is obeying those above you. Why does Shifu not accept Po as the Dragon Warrior in the first movie? Shifu expects order in all aspects of life, and Po becoming the Dragon Warrior breaks that order.

The first movie actually acknowledges the short comings of both philosophies, because the only way that Po became a good fighter was because Shifu trusted his master (an aspect of Confucianism) and he worked with Po playing into his strengths instead of changing who he was (an aspect of Daoism).

I am aware that this is not what the video is about, but this is a very important aspect of the first movie. Additionally, the tv shows he’s referencing do not nearly have as much love and care put into them as the films, so that is why I’m only talking about the first movie.

Also, I felt a little “eh” when I saw this video was about how evil the character representing Daoism was. I am aware this is just a fun little video, and nobody probably realized what Oogway represented on a subtextual level to the first film, but I still wanted to write this because I love the themes and subtexts and how the writers use them in the first Kung Fu Panda film.

see most people comment about oogway in this part that he is telling about bad vibes from them or kicking out or rejecting people makes them villians and he is the source. But what they dont see is the consequences. i mean tai lung having a grudge against shifu and oogway is fair i suppose but the destroying and killing thing is too much. that is what oogways calls the darkness in the heart if yoy consider po. he never event would have dreamt of turning against his dad just because he got rejected a title he hoped for. even the ff reject him hedidnt have anger upon them . he tried to bring about a change in himself . see this may be harsh but in built character is not something you can change by" communicating" . the same thing goes for difference between the other rejects and the accepted ones even the furious five showed ngative emotions like jealousy to some extent but po never did thats the dragon warriors good vibes for you. oogway was only the catalyst for the evil in their heart to flow out . that would have been triggered by any other consequence. that is the'' darkness'' oogway senses . also the scenes where po is jealous and calls other pandas hopeless they are not technically cannon . and yeah po even tries to communicate with them and it doesnt work so its although i accept it is shifus mistakes to just dont care as a father even though if he did i bet the the after math would have been same. agin harsh to say but such is tai lungs characters. and see po tried to talk it with 2 villians but kai is just pure evil so he didnt the first two were made with som inborn but kai was pure inborn like all for one mha. i still have my doubts about oogway on the mechanical genius boar s treatmnent but yeah apart from that i see no fault in his actions. it is the reality that is little bit harsh he just conveys that woah that was alot but hope LEE AND MAT PAT SEE THIS AND UUPLOAD A CHANGED AND SECOND VERSION OF THIS VIDEO TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION IWAS RIGHT . This is kinda upsetting. I’m gonna just say that the spin offs are not cannon for me. they really seem to contradict the movies, especially when it comes to how Po acts. in the first movie, while obsessed with Kung Fu and the Furious Five, he never showed any jealousy at all. he was excited to just see them, even the little bit he managed before flying over the gate. the jealousy completely contradicts his character in the movies

Oogway, to my knowledge, never reaches his own perfection or enlightenment. He only finds “inner peace” which is more an acknowledgement and acceptance of one’s faults rather than separation from them. So he literally knows that he does these terrible things and just doesn’t care
