I was pretty hyped about playing the DMC series, but I found the combat kinda slow for a hack n` slash. I preferred Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Metal Gear Rising waaaaaay better...

Dante's Inferno and Astral Chain are 2 games that I think should be included. Really good list overall. I'm glad Castlevania was included. The 3D spin off titles always get hated on a lot by purists. Which is understandable but if you look at them as there own thing they are extremely fun and well made. Very good combat system.

If it wasn't one game per franchise, Bayonetta 2 would probably tie with god of war

Let's talk about The truth mgrr is the best hack and slash game but That's short if we compare this with G.o.w but still Mgr Is more satisfying and Absolutely Songs are better than G.o.w Mgr even has the best boss Song. Character designs Are Better in Mgr too.
Especially quality is absolutely perfect But don't forget That g.o.w made in 2010 But even g.o.w's new games not a worthy opponent for Mgr thats it

Not even an honorable mention for severance blade of darkness? That's a shame, that game was ahead of its time. Not only could you dismember your foes but you could pick up their limbs and use it as a weapon to beat your opponents as well, not very effective but its fucking metal and the game came out in 2001.

Personally, Ninja Gaiden 2 is the best action game of all time, and its shocking that no action game can match Ninja Gaiden 2 yet. I play DMC, Bayonetta and GoW, but NInja Gaiden's combat is something else.
