Firefox is pretty good on paper, I have tried to use it for about a year and I gave it up the first chance I got and back to chrome

what about a gx version of opera? its also pretty good and has alot of features

5: Safari

When you do your 2023 version of this, be sure to include Arc if you're a Mac user

chrome now has a feature to lower down system resource usage so no need to worry your system grinding to a hult

I've experimented with numerous browsers over the years (Brave, Vivaldi, etc). I thought both Brave and Vivaldi were interesting, and pretty good, but I settled on only 2 browsers: Edge and Firefox. I haven't seen a need to use any other browser since these two work just fine;, so why change?

for me the problem with all of them is this:

FIREFOX: desktop great / mobile version uses google feed from 2014.. / tablet version not better than the default (safari, samsung intenet)
EDGE: desktop trying to be chrome / mobile version rather mediocore experience, same goes for tablet
OPERA: desktop very nice / mobile version not bad but also not great / tablet=just blown up version of mobile
SAFARI: desktop great design but slow, mobile excellent, tablet excellent, BUT just apple devices
CHROME: desktop nice / mobile decent / tablet not perfect but ok
..so chrome is the only one where all 3 are ok IMO, if youre ok with google selling you

Opera's ad blocker is terrific. Ads don't even get a chance to start.

Ok, so as a web designer, I absolutely hate Safari as it is such a paint to work with. I still mainly use chrome because it’s simply the browser I’ve always used, and I’m still a bit sketchy about edge just because internet explorer was a nightmare.

I basically live inside the firefox browser across all my devices

after probably 10 years, got tired of stupid chrome and just switched to opera. love it comes with built in ad block and vpn and the browser is really fast

I was using Microsoft Edge and never again. second i downloaded fox and noticed how new and fresh it looked 🤯 OMG Edge was out the window byeeee have a nice day👋

Brave is my overall usage
Opera GX for manga reading (there isn't much use on mobile)
Internet or samsung browser is pretty good and has smart anti tracking but I don't need it
Chrome is chrome kind of useless now

I've been using Firefox since it was born. I've noticed its struggles over the years, but even with those problems, it was still the best of the browsers available. And it's still reigning champion as far as ease of use, features, compatability, and now low resourse usage. Glad to know someone else out there in cyberland agrees with me.

(But Firefox is now in its death throws; can we save it from extinction? And soon? [And as a side note, Thunderbird is also trying to survive--especially now that Mozilla no longer offers its support for the platform.])

That's a great list! But, for the year 2023, I'm using the Logii browser. This tool helps to run multiple social media accounts without getting blocked and prevents browser fingerprinting as well. Affordable yet easy to use!

I'm surprised that Chrome scored so low, even lower than Edge! Well, my Chrome is now giving me some headaches with updates, so it might be the right time to make a change. Amazing video, btw :)

I'm currently using Edge.

Opera GX more customisable than any of the above and it gets the job done. Not super fast but not super slow either.

my personal top: Firefox > Vivaldi > Brave > Opera (GX) = Edge => Chrome > Safari

Oof, how is Firefox S Tier... Its CSS3 "support" is an equivalent of nightmare that internet explorer was ten years ago... No amount of customizations can save that:/
