Joe Walsh is one of the most natural Americana players a complement for he does not always follow the rules. The film of him a white Les Paul Custom electric guitar years ago illustrate his originality. X

Long live Joe Walsh. As every one knows who has seen the Eagles live, it's actually divided into two parts --- the Eagles show, and the Joe Walsh show. Whenever Joe takes over and does his tunes, or steps up for any solo, he blows the walls down. The fans absolutely love the man. He's one of a kind and a truly great genius guitar player.

Kinda telling when Bill S says that he encouraged Joe to leave the James Gang so HE could produce him exclusively....in the end its all about MONEY.....the crap about him writing and recording stuff that was mellower, orchestrated, etc is ridiculous. The James Gang wasn't exclusively hard rock, they recorded all kinds of flavors and textures in their music. IMHO he didn't record anything solo that wouldn't have turned out better with the JG. In the end he just wouldn't have to share the money

Wondering if they still have the Music Festival at Estes Park....

Joe is solely responsible for turning Colorado into a suburb of L.A. Why couldn't he have sung a power ballad about Pittsburgh instead?
