One primary reason why I always believed Alejandro "Alex" Sosa and his legit allegation of Omar "El Mano/the Monkey " Suarez being a secret, hidden police informant/snitch/rat/stoolie two years before in New York city that one of Sosa's two top Bolivian cartel enforcers, highest ranking soldiers, bodyguards, henchmen and professional Bolivian cartel assassins, Alberto "The Shadow " fingered and identified as a past police informant he recognized from his short time overseas in the United States of America at some point two years before, having witnessed Omar snitch and testify in court against his three former drug dealing partners in crime to avoid thirty years to life in prison or saw the paperwork or both. Omar then migrated to Miami, Florida to escape and begin a new start where no one knew he was a rat. Omar then worked his way up the ladder to become Frank Lopez's right hand man and underboss of the Miami city based Lopez Cuban drug cartel. Omar set Tony Montana and his crew up to be ripped off and killed by Hector "The Toad " and his small gang of Colombian cowboy gangsters, lowlife, small-time coke dealers and killers at the Sunray motel as petty payback for Tony standing up to Omar the night before for disrespecting Tony. Notice after Tony tried to fight and beat Omar to a pulp but Manny restrained Tony while Omar, a spineless weasel at heart, tried to draw his gun and shoot Tony until Omar's driver whispered to Omar to give them to the Colombians. Hence why Hector the Toad knew to have his two diminutive, pocket sized henchmen, the Kids, waiting posititioned under the stairs to ambush Angel from behind as Tony's only back up visible in sight.

i would have played for time instead of being "fuck you, fuck you" all the time. He knew his guys would show up. Time would have been on his side, you know. Could have saved the guys life and limbs.

I mean in a situation like this all he had to do is be like: "As said. Money is close by. My guy is waiting for my sign to deliver it." OR "we aranged for my guy to wait a couple minutes so he know its safe." etc. Then make up some sign etc. etc. Idk. Seemed a little stupid to handle the situation like this (and it seemed even stupider for the guys to not watch what the guys in the car where doing; i mean they obviously knew they where there).

Always obvious imo it was a set-up drug deal and attempted robbery gone wrong. The Colombian coke dealer, Hector "The Toad " had his two Colombian gang members and henchmen, "the Kids, " nicknamed for their short, diminutive stature, hiding, waiting and positioned underneath the stairway leading to Hector's motel room to surprise and ambush Angel, Tony's only clear, visible back up and lookout man, from behind outside as Hector's hideous, masculine looking Colombiana femme Fatale girlfriend and lover Marta had a silenced automatic machine gun under her pillow on the bed, hidden from view till the ambush attack and short-lived motel room imprisonment and chainsaw dismemberment of Angel. Omar "El Mano "(the Monkey) Suarez, Frank Lopez's treacherous, shady, backstabbing and greedy underboss of the Miami city based Lopez Cuban drug cartel led by Frank, set up Tony Montana and his crew to be ripped off, robbed and killed deliberately out of spite and payback for Tony standing up to Omar for disrespecting Tony outside the Bodega food stand the night before and trying to physically fight Omar, and naturally, a spineless rat at heart, Omar tried to pull out his handgun to shoot Tony as Manny restrained him until Omar's driver, Waldo, whispered to give them to the Colombians and Omar changes tune too fast. Omar warned Tony and Manny to bring two extra men as back up and provided machine guns as artillery to avoid suspicion of a set-up if Tony survived the drug deal gone wrong. I absolutely believed Sosa that Omar was a rat in New York city two years before in America. One of Sosa's two primary, personal bodyguards and professional Bolivian cartel assassins next to the Skull, Sosa's right hand man personal number one bodyguard and pro Bolivian cartel assassin and Tony's future killer, Alberto the Shadow, fingered Omar as a past NYPD police informant/rat/snitch he recognized from Alberto's brief visit to America and he witnessed Omar testify against his former fellow three drug dealers and partners in court and or saw the snitching paperwork and later Omar fled to Miami, Florida to begin a new start where no one knew him as a cocaine dealer and would be future underboss and second in command of Frank Lopez. Hence why Sosa's bodyguards, henchmen and pro Bolivian drug cartel assassins, the Skull and Alberto the Shadow brutally battered, beat and tortured Omar half to death before executing Omar by helicopter hanging mid-air.
