Really enjoyed this one. Although I will say I think the passion and enthusiasm that comes with mars was maybe underplayed for the more malefic aspects? I'm an Aries rising with mars in the 7th, my oldest son is Libra rising with mars in the 7th and I'd say we are both really passionate about encouraging those we're in relationship with, we invest a lot of our energy into our relationships and encouraging those we're close to. My youngest daughter has mars in the 3rd and has a similar thing with her siblings. She is a cancer rising so it comes more with a concern, she's very concerned for her siblings and likes to keep them close. 😊❤️ My husband is a Leo rising, he has mars in the 5th conjunct his Neptune and he always has big dreams and ideas and that's where he puts his energy. 😄 My oldest daughter and my sister both have mars in the 11th and they invest a lot of their energy into friends, both have large friend circles and busy social lives. Mars conjuct Saturn in the 6-7th house (edge) meant always for me abusive relationships where i was always the one who could never raise voice and have a will power. Ever since i started my astrology and psychology journey, i make this exact thing on myself (excercising daily as a soldier, and working like a soldier, humble and step by step) , so it doesnt find me anymore from the outside, and i also dont let it anymore to happen.

Yo chris I don't want to offend you in this, but you should had brought another astrologer into this conversation. In comparison to the previous planets episodes, there was a lot missing on this, beginning with your co-hosts knowledge of the planet. I don't think she was the best choice for this... also she has like no motivation I can't even sense the mars in her.

When quick responses to heckles was mentioned at around 1hr I thought instantly of Jimmy Carr, and sure enough, Mercury conjunct Mars, and fittingly in virgo square saturn in gemini - and its always fun to google a celebrity and see jupiter on their mc lol

Wow, such a thoughtful, insightful pod cast on mars., much learned. My mars is less than 1 degree above asc in 12th house in cap with kyron in cap there, too, sag ruling 12th. I've worked in a prison and a state mental hospital, and know all too well, the plight of the underdog. Loved being able to help there, while I also worked on healing self. I have aires on 3rd house, and don't know if it's significant, but had a violent, psycho sister that totally f'd my head, like the first 12 years of my life. My mother had an aspect, where she condoned her behavior and humiliated me! Of course, past life karma! I had to go to spirituality for sanity, and hard headed cap rising helped to survive. Glad now to be where I am. It's interesting that sister almost died at birth. Mabey someday ill study her chart. I had an NDE, but no life review. I think I chose it as part of the undoing, unraveling . I even tried to help her, but she's too crazy, still causing havoc in peoples lives, so I let go. My mars is in cancer and I get colds and flu a lot. It always hits me the first and hardest out of everyone. Funnily enough, I only get it from children (I think having my 5th house in scorpio has something to do with that) if it originates outside my home or from family members (mostly my nephews and my older sister who, funnily enough, is a cancer sun). Never from friends or acquaintances.

Vocalist, lyricist: moon, mars, Venus, Jupiter in scorpio. Definitely sweats sexiness.. (Venus, mars conj.. joke) that moon is about as obvious as it gets. Not exactly sexy, but amazing songwriter.

One way mars in detriment (libra) conjunct Venus and Pluto trine moon, sextile Neptune, etc etc etc can show up in my natal is agreeableness that can actually entrap others by them exposing either a conscious or unconscious motivation. I’ve actually wondered if in a setting like a podcast if that would still happen. I’ve heard episodes of this podcast where a person can get comfortable unintentional going into an underlining thought process that is motivating them which they may not be entirely aware of. That is how Venus (psychologically) can service mars. Sometimes, rarely or by accident, it can show up like the viral “change my mind” memes. Generalized statement where it’s hard to figure out what it even means.
A recent one: JK Rowling is right. What I actually means (which I knew) is that he comments about strategy and some feeling alienated from themselves with their own support groups being shut down is a poor strategy that will backfire which is only related to mars expressions of cutting/separating. How some feel is similar to how some feel when they vote to only find who they voted for are more concerned with lobbyists and special interests feeling left out. The “I feel left out”, “you don’t belong anyways, I hate you” strategy isn’t going to go well long term. It’s a minor thing.

I actually thought I had my first wrinkle recently only to find it was a minor scar from a few years ago I barely noticed. “If it’s an age line, it sure looks cool.” It was a scar from hiking where I payed too much attention to picking a song where I walked into a downed limb, it looks like a cheetah mark which is my favorite animal (Leo 12th house).. servals and caracals are awesome also.
If 6th is also associated with enemies, mars may have its joy there for that reason also. I did wonder since early slaves were often captured enemies, maybe subordinates fall in this way also. An interesting watch was an astrologer studying a Hindu text on moon and the 6th house where there was an agreement that moon in the 6th only sounded (descriptively) accurate with “unfriendliness”. Moon in 6th would be difficult/unfriendly in this way because it’s a house of enemies which could harden the moon.
Could be many reasons mars has it’s joy in the 6th. I’m still breaking down proper ways to look at spirit ruler, I may go ahead and pick up George’s new book soon on ancient house systems; that could help. Spirit (even ruler) may not be bound to houses though,
but still. What I’ve looked at so far, it seems to be a broader ruler configuration. Houses more predictive. I’m really enjoying the introspection trying to pin it down. One detail, even though I have that Jupiter 11th, there does seem to be a psychological angle that definitely seems more quintile than sign based square with spirit ruler. Softer, more hard to notice, but noticeable when it’s “on”. There’s a cancer like Jupiter optimism that shows up that takes others by surprise.
I keep going in circles ending up in the same place, so I’m definitely deep diving into that.

PS: interesting.. in “I see a darkness” he talks about losing his drive, then says “..see it’s opposition, comes rising up sometimes”. Saturn in taurus. Saturn opposite those scorpio placements. Probably a birth chart reference.

I was just transiting my bedroom from the house of Cancer and entering my bathroom which is in Scorpio, and I WAS considering buying some Ginger biscuits, but then I heard your video. Ginger biscuits, being inclined by 90 degrees to Virgo, would, I realised, lead to a bout of serious depression, so I leaned towards Taurus and purchased a packet of Cheese biscuits instead. They tasted, delicious, a very strong Caerphilly cheese with a hint of Mars dust.

My Libran Sun, Moon, and Mars are all in the 12th house.

I have always seen / experienced my mom as this fierce, independent, soldier woman (which she is really: big ♐️ energy, was in the last battalion of the WACs / US veteran) but since I’ve become a mom, I find myself channeling that energy a lot too.

Fiercely protective of my children, and my home.

I’ve also found anger/conflict/aggression to be very difficult to manage at times, and have had to find actual constructive ways to work things out, although my go to has been / can be a nasty passive aggressiveness.

My younger (half) sister has 0 degrees Mars in Aries, and I always joke it’s why we didn’t grow up together (the fights!) but she’s really taught me a lot about the difference between assertiveness vs aggression.

I get irritated and angry with myself a lot, and it can implode in my environment. I need a LOT of alone time to regather/recooperate.

It’s funny that while I may mishandle my own defenses/offenses, When it comes to serving or protecting others, my Mars shines (Aries 6th house?).

I truly feel I am my own worse energy at times too (12th house?)
