Please give the Sony A7S III firmware update to fix the focus breathing issue just like the FX3 got the new firmware. Please look at Fuji and Panasonic how they continue to provide quality firmware updates. I want Sony to be the same

I bought a Sony A73 in 2019 and have never done this!! oops. to be fair, I haven't used it much in the last year but I wonder how many features I have missed out on.

FX3 trying to update 3.0 from 2.00. Do I need to update to 2.02 first? I really hate sony firmware process. I can't find the 2.02 firmware on sony site. any help thanks

Terrible Sony. Thumbs down. For the HX99 there is no file to upload firmware! 3 Files with imaging Edge and 1 play file.

Can you making new firmware for Sony alpha 7 ii . I want better autofocus.

This process is unnecessarily complex.
All the other manufacturers that I'm familiar with ask the user to put the firmware file on an SD card, then select an option from the menu.
Job done.
Sony requires an install program and they apparently have not kept up with Mac computers.

Is there a problem using Mac computers to update? I am unable to get the firmware update into my ZV1 using Macbook. When I open the firmware updater it also causes my Macbook keyboard to stop working. Thanks

This DOES NOT work on my a7iii. I tried with the original wire as well as a standard USB-C wire and there is no way I can manage to make it be detected by my computer. It's annoying.

Can these updates slow down or have a negative effect on the camera? For example, apple updates on phones would slow them down and drain battery more.

I try to update my sony A7s II from the factory software (2.10) to 3.0 but its not working for me, I use a macbook with os monterey (12.3.1) the software crash every time I try to open it.... how to fix that?any other way to do this ?like direct update from the camera itself via wi fi maybe?

Update doesn't work, the update program says: "The camera is connected to the computer. Remove the camera from the computer". But if I remove the camera from the computer, update is also not possible :s

In the year 2022 you shoild be supporting Android and iOS for updates.

I tried doing an update for a6000, but during the fourth step, which is to reset the camera, if I:

1. Follow the instructions by "safely removing" my camera, the computer loses connection with the camera and the update won't start. I'll have to restart my computer to begin again.

2. Skip "safely removing" and click "ok" when prompted to reset the camera. The computer also loses connection to the camera and the update won't start. Restart the laptop to begin again.

3. Skip "safely removing" and "reset the camera" and the update is aborted.

So I don't know if anyone will answer with anything helpful. But in the off-chance someone will, that'll be highly appreciated. I can't update my firmware.

This is so difficult, and crashes your mac. It also does not work. Even after religiously following the instructions. Absolutely ridiculous, is this a practical joke?

Hi, I live in Japan and recently bought the ZV-e10 only to discover that there is no option to change the language from Japanese to English. I contacted Sony Japan who told me that the ZV-E10 is only made for the Japanese market and there is no version with English. Clearly this is not the case at all.

There are scores of people on the net offering the service of changing the settings so that the English language can be selected but I would like to know how I can do this myself.
