One minute they are an aircraft, the next minute they are a boat.
ОтветитьIt's an awful film saved really by this entire scene but there's still so much wrong with it.
Ignoring the fact that the ATC sided with Sully almost immediately, let's break this down. The ATC guy is barreling after them at all parts but, after listening to the CVR he completely changes his mind and his entire character. Then, Skyler receives the comprehensive report that exonerates them....as if having that report wouldn't be a pre-requisite of holding the tribunal.
Tom Hanks saved what would have otherwise been a disastrous movie.
They did their job!
ОтветитьSuch are the Moments of human nobility ❤❤❤
ОтветитьVery modest but he did land it on water. He saved them. God was with them that day. The birds didn’t hit them at all lower altitude. He had just enough sky to make it down. Also, it was no coincidence that Sully was the Pilot that day being an expert at gliding. God be praised for His wonderful mercy.
ОтветитьI could only imagine how fuckjng COLD it was on the Hudson
ОтветитьI wonder how much this hearing cost the taxpayer to obviously determine that the birds caused the accident and that the pilot had to land in the Hudson River but the Government thinks that money grows on trees. There is going to be a day when wasting money won't be an option anymore.
ОтветитьAnd the neat thing is that Captain Sullenberger’s final flight saw him paired again with Jeff Skiles flying the same flight as Cactus 1549. Fortunately that time they reached their intended destination without incident.
ОтветитьMy pastor Jerry, just before succumbing to cancer, spoke about this incident with so much pride for the job these pilots did. It was a joy to hear him tell this story, he loved New York , and traveled there often.
ОтветитьWhen I started taking flying lessons, the instructor kept telling me... "Aviate, Navigate, Communicate." Now I see why! That's exactly what Sully was doing!
ОтветитьWalter white wife from breaking bad finally got another job Lol
ОтветитьSKYLER WHITE
Ответить"We did our job."
"We did our job."
Such a simple, yet powerful statement.
So good to see Skyler White working on her new career after Walt's death.
ОтветитьI love the "I would do it in July" joke. To be fair I would prefer that.
ОтветитьSometimes the right people are in the right place at the right time. Amazing that these 2 men kept their wits about them when the situation as totally FUBAR.
ОтветитьOh snap its Walter Whites wife!
ОтветитьTotal badass
ОтветитьA Genuine American Hero!
Ответитьamazing airmanship
ОтветитьCactus 1549 do ya want to go to tetaberow atc: uh unable Pilot: Cactus 1549 Needs to go to the airport right now atc: Tetaberow Tower go ahead dos
He need assistance yes atc:
Maaaaaan what a story. I STILL find myself comin back to listen to it all again. A bunch of heros came together that day. ❤️👊.
ОтветитьThe enormity of this event and how everyone came together saving all lives on board is incredible. This is the best of who we can be together - a miracle indeed
Ответить"We did our job".
ОтветитьThis kangaroo court should not have happened until all the reports from the FRD and CVR have been fully anilized where was procedural fairness in this accident investigation and subsequent inquiry ?
ОтветитьThese clips should be called “how to make yourself look like an asshole to everyone you work with for trying to make a hero look bad” might be a little too long for a title though lol
ОтветитьI know they fictionalised large parts, but this is a great and somehow heartwarming movie.
ОтветитьDuring filming, The director had to ask Tom Hanks to put inflection in his voice for the ATC radio calls as he had mimicked the actual Sully too perfectly - and Sully was ICE on the radio even facing all of that.
ОтветитьIt’s so awesome how Skylar got her life together. It’s not easy to come back after her husband died of lung cancer. Even more so that he turned out to be a drug kingpin
ОтветитьMiracle on the Hudson and rightfully so. He was the right guy at the right time no doubt. Instinctively he did the classic, aviate, navigate, communicate. At the time there was no formal training for a low altitude dual engine failure but now it’s practiced. A very very rare scenario and this guys training and understanding of the situation at whole allowed him to make the correct sequence of choices in seconds that saved everyone.
ОтветитьSo how is it the guy never listed to the actual recording until just then.
ОтветитьI love how it's always the bald guy in these types of movies that has something to prove.😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьWhat they tried to accuse them of. Was impossible. From the beginning.
ОтветитьSometimes, nothing can beat intuition
ОтветитьI think everyone has had a moment like this where everyone tells you you dont know how to do your job and no one can understand the pressure you are under. At that point the only thing that can give you strength is believing you did your job no matter what anyone else may think. This scene has helped me pull myself up many times.
ОтветитьThank you to everyone out there that ‘do your job’.
ОтветитьDon't think sully knew he was saving lives on the plane. He just knew he had to get the plane away from the city and let fate take it's course in the hudson
ОтветитьThe words "we did our job" always gets me. It's simple yet so powerful.
ОтветитьThis is justice. Justice not just in the face of the unplanned tragedy that is the subject of the inquiry, but with the manufactured tragedy attempted by those of low character and high personal ambition who sacrifice justice and truth.
In the end, they did the right thing.
Drain the swamp.
Skyler will always wrong🤣
ОтветитьGod bless Captain Sully. He is the epitome of everything that's good inside each and every one of us. Well done Sully.
ОтветитьMy God. Look at where we have come. That USA doesn't exist anymore. What an unfiltered tragedy how Americans are now.
ОтветитьProbably one of the most disappointing movies I’ve ever watched. The only thing I learned is that Clint Eastwood hates the government and couldn’t be bothered to do any research on what actually happens in an investigation.
ОтветитьLoved this movie! Tom Hanks played this part perfectly!
ОтветитьJust received a comprehensive report right in the middle of the hearing? Who do they get to write this bullshit?
ОтветитьI think the most important part is that the pilots knew what ever the results, they knew that they needed to get over the water before they crashed into the city
ОтветитьThe only lives lost were the birds, rip birds
ОтветитьI hate politicians and bureaucrats. They are evil, wicked, and corrupt AF
Ответитьwhy did he have to get treated like a criminal just for saving lives!? was he supposed to just give up!?! he's a hero
Ответить
