"That divine will, equally pious and cruel, which we could not and will never be able to unravel, was called The Miracle."
oh actually instead its kind of unravelable, see its these three heads who have overly complicated plans that we can sort of understand.
This DLC / ending took away and over-explained (in the blasphemous way) the mystery of the Miracle. I hate it.
i heard poetic justice and instinctively said "if a flower bloomed in a dark room would you trust it?"
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьNow do Blasphemous 2.
ОтветитьI got sidetracked with my last comment I wanted to thank you for explaining the story of the base game and the dlc, I started watching another video but the way the person was explaining things just wasn't doing it for me, listening to you was like watching a movie and it was extremely easy to understand so that you so much because I have blasphemous 2 and was about to start playing and I didn't understand the starting cutscenes so I instantly quit and thankfully found your great content, subbing 100%
ОтветитьI played the base game on release and loved it but I had very little understanding about the story at all especially because of side quests as well and the language used was just confusing for me to put in the effort I just loved the gameplay. Unfortunately I didn't play the dlc, I rarely play dlc of new games because by the time the dlc is out I have moved on from the game and complete forgotten controls and perks and I just leave it. If I play a game when it's dlc is included like older games then I'll play them for sure.
ОтветитьKudos for doing this. Blasphemus is a great game, but the story, while good, was hard ri follow, so this cleared a lot up. So far i think thr forst game is better than the second one. The second game is atill good though.
ОтветитьYo Squatch you playing Blasphemous 2?!?
ОтветитьYo
ОтветитьReady to play Blasphemous 2 now!
Ответитьcame here before the launch of Blasphemous 2 to give myself a recap of the events from the first game. Now that everything is clear, I'll enjoy the game, which launches in roughly 30 minutes from now, on a much deeper level thanks to you. Great video and happy Penance to all!
ОтветитьI returned to the game just short of beating it thinking that it ended with the the original two endings, turns out that last dlc added a lot, which would explain all the inconsistencies in my old save. Thanks for the recap and explaining everything in not ye old language so us less lore attuned could understand it.
ОтветитьRewatching ur main story and dlc explanation vids Cus of blasphemous 2 hype !!
ОтветитьHow did all the silent brothers die
ОтветитьAh still don't get it. So in first game he dies as a tree, but here he dies after killing the miracle. So not sure how they fit together
ОтветитьDiosdado doesn’t have the key, it’s Esdras who gives it to you.
Ответитьmy gosh i adore this game so much but to understand every small thing in the story is to difficult to me, english is not enough 😑i still prey there comes from the nowhere a new lore guy for the german speaking fans, 7 weeks left for the sequel i am so exited, my blasphemous tattoo comes in october 🤭🤘
ok what i not 100% understand, when the "panitend one" are comes from the miracle to the next son of the miracle, to replace escobar. is the story that the penitend one should not finding out that the miracle is corrupt ? OR are the 3 heads high wills are gonna corrupt and the miracle was sending someone like the penitend one to free the pple of cystodia and kill the high wills ?
Loved your narrative. Good job making an amazing video
ОтветитьI feel like there's a very deep psychological / spiritual meaning to Blasphemous that remains to be deciphered.
This is my hot take on that:
The first stage is about Escribar, who represents an old (but very human) way of thinking that essentially puts all that happens in the hands of "the Miracle". The people who think this way have all their agency taken away from them, and believe they have no control over their lives. They live in servitude and denial. This is why Cvstodia is a mess at first.
The way to rid oneself of this way of thinking is by accepting agency, however accepting agency also means taking responsibility for all that has befallen oneself. That is the painful process of penance, and guilt. Only once one has fully reconciled with one's past sinful actions, can one move on and truly take control of one's life - ascend to the throne of one's own kingdom.
The second stage seems to involve gaining a deeper understanding of the Cradle of Affliction, in other words, the true source of the way of thinking Escribar represents. The High Wills are at the root (literally) of the issue. They're represented by three crying faces. Interestingly, in Dante's Inferno, Satan is also described as having three faces which are crying. Sinfulness leads to one's own misery. And Satan himself, found in the center, is the most miserable of all the denizens of hell.
In order to confront the High Wills, the Penitent One must first receive two golden eyes - one from a snake, and one from the Voice of the Dead. To me this seems to represent that in order to see clearly, one must first confront their deepest desires (Sierpes, a snake found in the depths of the sea), and the views and beliefs that have been passed onto us by the previous generations (literally, the voices of the dead).
There's probably more in there. It's very dense and hard to decipher, but extremely interesting. Would love to hear people's thoughts on it.
I am soo glad 2nd part is coming out soon! This game is so awesome, even though I was not fond of Metroidvanias before it! Awesome video, dude!
ОтветитьThe sequel is finally there.. So excited
ОтветитьAmazing.
ОтветитьThe miracle is the fallen one. He gives power to those whom can push the curse forward only to realize that one of them can be the anomaly
ОтветитьWhy did Esdras have the key and not the key keeper?
ОтветитьIf anyone doesn't know blasphemous 2 comes out this year in the late summer, from what I've seem there will be new mechanics and you'll be able to use 4 different weapons; A curved greatsword, a curved sword, a rapier and dagger, and a large hammer.
ОтветитьThis has gotta be one of my favorite stories in gaming. So good
ОтветитьIs this on switch??
ОтветитьThanks for this. I 100%'d the game before WoT came out, and really didn't want to do an entire playthrough to see the new stuff.
ОтветитьBro be like:
😑
Amazing, thank you so much for the video 🖤🙏
ОтветитьAlright, call the SCP foundation, we have SCP 001 here
ОтветитьIt’s easy to have a knee jerk reaction as Catholic at the true ending but I think I see the high wills of the miracles as being usurpers of a people’s faith.
Much like that of the Devil who is only able to corrupt and destroy and could never create himself.
Top notch narration. 10/10
ОтветитьCristanta is the gigaest of chads in this story in my opinion
Ответитьis this dlc like a different timeline of game's events? or this happens after the miaculpa was taken from penintent one's body and penitent one set out to the game's events differently
ОтветитьWhat really makes games like Blasphemous work for me, is the very big heart they have beating under the gory and often dreadful surface. When the game presents this awful and cruel world that seems without hope, then gives you a chance to give the NPC small moments of joy. It tells you that even in the darkest places, there is light and that light doesn't have to be from the Miracle.
As such, the ending serves as a culmination of all of the small acts of kindness the Penitent One has done. Yes, they will sacrifice themselves, yes they will die and be forever cursed? But the freedom of the people of Custodia is worth it.
I prefer de base endings but this is really good
ОтветитьThank you very much, this was pleasure to watch and listen to!
ОтветитьCute game
ОтветитьOk but where did the sheath for Mea Culpa come from?
ОтветитьSo do I have to best the game once before I can do the wounds of eventide stuff?
ОтветитьThe wills came from the miracle
everything became corrupted
im finished this game twice, bad and true ending. still an old english words and tailoring lore by lore from an item make me overwhelmed. thanks to your good work i finally got a good grasp about the game story.
ОтветитьI now have a reason to replay the game.
ОтветитьUau. What a great video
ОтветитьRelativity theory is easier to explain than this crazy game! Hahahah
ОтветитьCant wait for kratos to kill everything in this realm next
ОтветитьThat cool af
ОтветитьIt went from Jesus to bloody Dark Souls, lol; instead of a martyr to a religious entity, you go to literally kill a God. Gotta admit, that’s pretty sick, and shows why the Miracle seemed so petty; it was truly human at heart, greedy and cruel, wanting to take advantage of a society who was unaware.
