Can i use wire mesh that is not coated?
ОтветитьI love when poeple consider sustainability
Ответитьive watched a ton of videos on monsteras and yours are always some of the best. I just repotted my deliciosa in your aroid mix!
ОтветитьI have a question. How do you add two your Moss Pole when you need it to be taller?
ОтветитьNow why didn't i watch this before i bought supplies to make moss poles?! 😅 guess I'm off to bunnings on the weekend
ОтветитьI really enjoyed your video, but i have a question and i hope you answer me bro 😊 . In my country there is no sphagnum moss at all , what is the alternative?
ОтветитьI love your videos!
Thank you for sharing your tips and knowledge 🙏.
Do you have any recommendations for adding moss poles for my Thai con that's growing from two ends?
Ok made my first moss poles last week. Got to repotting today. I am having trouble with my pots just tipping over and the pole in the pot going crooked with my monstera. How do you keep yours from getting top heavy?
ОтветитьI’m sad that my miss smell went away, I loved the way it smelled in my living area
Ответитьvery good!!!!thanks
ОтветитьDid you mean 6 inches?
ОтветитьDid you mean 6 inches?
ОтветитьI’ve made one of these and it promptly started to grow mold on the outside. Any advice?
ОтветитьI'm just wondering what is the difference between what you're making and just buying ready-made moss polse please
ОтветитьCanada is now growing peat moss and harvesting it every 5 years so it is now sustainable and soon other countries can start doing this As well (as long as the environment is suitable)
ОтветитьHow tall do the moss poles have to be before I can separate them? Mine got too tall so i chopped the pole in half. The top part was about 3 feet tall but the new leaves got smaller.
ОтветитьI'm really kicking myself in the ass for not watching these videos prior to the moss pole I just made for my verrucosum. I hate to put it through the ringer again but I think I'm going to have to redo it immediately 😖
ОтветитьWow...thank you so so much. I'm doing this exactly the way you've shared. You're amazing...and so so kind to share all your experience. Its crucial for us all. Thanks again. Love from the UK.
ОтветитьMade my first moss pole. So proud. It turned out great! 😊😉💚🌱
ОтветитьI’ve just began growing monsteras for a couple of months and I wanted to make moss poles for them. I was wondering that since the moss has nutrients do you still need to fertilize the pot once a month?
ОтветитьI love watching your videos. Can you share the product name which net thing you use from Bunnings to make your pole.
ОтветитьHave you ever tried adding chunky pieces to the sphagnum moss ie coconut husk, leca, bark, etc. for aeration?
ОтветитьHi i noticed this cylinderal shaped moss pole is different from the one you use for some of your big plants which is more of a semi-circle shape. Do you by chance have an updated video for those?
ОтветитьGreat video. New subscriber
ОтветитьThanks for your channel; your work is exemplary. Regarding sphagnum moss, the local hardware store has 2 varieties, both of which say "Sphagnum Peat Moss;" so, am I correctly assuming that is NOT the sustainable variety?
If I'm correct, it is amazingly unconscionable how cheaply we are selling off our environment, in fact, humanity's existence on this planet.
$18 US for 2.2 cu ft & $25 for a similiar sized one at the same store.
😢
any alternative for pvc coated wire mesh? been looking in my country that only has either pvc only, or galvanised mesh without any coating. is your bunnings mesh supposed to be the same rigidity as galvanised mesh?
ОтветитьHi will this work on tomatoes?
ОтветитьCan we use coco husk chips instead of moss inside the pole?
ОтветитьGreat video but that pole doesn’t look like a 6 cm diameter.
ОтветитьI made up 6 moss poles last weekend and I've just noticed they already have mould all over them! Ahh! What have I done wrong? I left them to dry inside rather than on the balcony, as it was way too windy that day, did the lack of sun and airflow prevent them from drying out? 😢😢😢 Hoping to spray them with vinegar and water on the balcony and hope for the best...
ОтветитьThank you for your videos. I just recently started growing Monsteras, and I just didn't care for the expensive yet seemed cheap poles available. Thank you so much for your videos. You are awesome, and so are your plants.
ОтветитьWhen you say 6 cm diameter, do you mean circumference?
ОтветитьI was thinking to do something like this with a cedar fence picket and the wire around the front holding the moss. Have you done anything like that? Or has anyone reading this comment done that? Good or bad idea?
ОтветитьI am a brand new beginner, and this makes the idea of moss poles much less daunting! Thank you for having such an easy-to-follow tutorial!
ОтветитьNice sharing 👌🏻 but wath is moss🤔
ОтветитьIs the pole made of wire or just plastic mesh
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. I've just made my first set of moss poles, looking forward to seeing how my devil's ivy enjoy them.
ОтветитьHow do you personally keep the moss pole damp one you have potted it with the plant? Do you water the pole from the top or do you spray it with a mister?
ОтветитьHappy to learn from you 😊
ОтветитьI meant I have become a subscriber straightaway…
ОтветитьI am very impressed by your videos and have a subscriber straightaway. I would like to try my hands on making moss poles. There are two selections of coated wire mesh available at Bunnings, the 90cmx5m of 25x25mm and 90cmx5m of 12x12mm, which one do you normally use to make the moss poles?
ОтветитьI'm not sure how he makes it look so easy but my experience has been very different. I can not get mine to stand up straight and watering with the water bottle is virtually impossible because it's so top-heavy, and it needs watered much more often than other plants because it dries out so quickly. I'm glad it works for him and hope it does for you, but I have to try a different approach.
ОтветитьGood sharing..we r doing with zero cost in India....using iron pole and cotton cloth to prepare the moss sticks for vine plant...
ОтветитьCan I put aroid mix inside the moss pole to add nutrients to the moss pole when the root get into it?
ОтветитьLooks like the making of a big joint 😂
ОтветитьThanks mate for this video .I’m going to make some straight away for my plants.I love the Bunnings spagnum moss too.it’s expensive though I think 37 dollars is a bit expensive but worth it for our beautiful plants.
ОтветитьI have several plants that need moss poles and I'm wanting to do so, but have a few questions. 1) I'm in the States, and don't seem to be able to locate coated mesh wire. Is galvanized steel wire suitable? 2) The mesh is about 1/2" and it's about 3' high, but what length rolls do you buy to get your 6 polls made?
ОтветитьAnd where I can buy this moss ??
Bought form bunning they are bery smooth one like a plain flower
I want to learn potting mix soil for indoor plants
Ответить
