I have taken Bioidentical Estrogen vaginal cream and bioidentical Progesterone for years, without them I would have been in a Looney bin. Suzanne Somers and enlightened Ob-Gyn specialist and Compounding Pharmacist help me make educated decisions on Women health.

Admirably evocative and thought-provoking; akin to a book that was evocative and thought-provoking. "Your Body Your Temple" by Sophia Wintergreen

I am 55 and I was lucky I didn't have major hotflashes.. but I have mood swings low libido etc... It is EXTREMELY Frustrating as I other symptoms and have been utterly blown off by my gynocologist and Primary care physician over these matters. And they are women!!! My Gyno retired in 2020 and I haven't found a new gynocologist sigh.

😢 My mother used HRT for fifteen years nonstop. All the so called benefits did not helped my mother who ended up with dementia. My grandmother used it too. Faithful to the end she also developed dementia. I started using HTR after surgery at 49 yrs. old and after five months with all sorts of medical issues I stoped using hormones.
Getting old? Yes. UTIs once in a while? Yes. Still alive? Yes. Lots of exercise, a reasonable diet.

Why does the medical establishment think that developing osteopenia is acceptable? Osteoporosis is the inevitable next phase of gradually weakening bones. HRT should be started even earlier. My health had been good, until falls and broken bones led me to be debilitated.

I went through menopause at age 43 and took HRT until age 67. I had very great gyno team. No breast cancer, or any record of cancer anywhere in my family for generations, not even heart disease or blood clot family history. Low blood pressure also runs in family and mine has never been high. I was a very low risk. I stopped it because I do get migraines and I started getting more frequent migraines. I had migraines for decades, they do run in my family. I'm sorry I stopped. At 76 I now have thinning hair, very dry skin, constant joint aches, sleep problems, and lack of energy. This just began the past two years. I take lots of vitamin D doctor told me to take and it hasn't helped. My D levels are fine. I still have no serious health problems, and only the occasional mild migraine. I'm considering asking about the estrogen only patch, which sounds like just what I need.

20 years too late, its not that we didnt want it here in Australia, its that the doctors refused to prescribe HRT and that leaves our bodies breaking down quicker Very upset that our own personal choice was taken away by powers that be.

When menopausal women have a decline in their quality of life we need a doctor to take action and give us hrt. If men felt this bad they would be taken seriously!

I’ve been on hormone replacement for over a year and man I’m a new person! Lost the extra 20 lbs immediately, had my energy back to exercise, felt mentally clear, dryness is almost gone, my skin isn’t itchy anymore. I had debilitating side effects from estrogen loss. I love mine and plan to stay on it for the rest of my life. Want more info for an educated decision? Watch: Heather Hirsch MD, Dr Louise Newsom, Dr Mary Claire Haver.
Make an educated decision, not a fear based decision!

I love mine! I use Winona HRT estrogen/progesterone cream and I take DHEA. I stopped for 3 months and was right back feeling miserable, fatigued, brain fog, gained weight and could not sleep at night. I also got hot flashes again too. I’m so glad I got back on it. It’s only been a couple days since restarting and I can feel the difference already. I’m so glad I started HRT at a younger age. I was 51 when I first started and will never get off of it again!

This talk is wonderful to hear and so relatable. I was 42 and went unknowingly went into menopause. Was having hot flashes, no period, brain fog and went almost quite a year no period. My dtr checked and said I was in post meripause. I was surprised why so young. My mom went through at 50. I have been about a year and half taking HRT. Having no hot flashes, no vaginal dryness. Do have period but very light. Not sure about about brain fog. I take ginko Bilbo. Another GP dtr didn’t believe me that I had been in menopause. Dtr told me I would never have a period again. But know I do. I would recommend more women taking rhymthic dosing HRT.

I believe that old study is why health insurance WON’T HELP at all when it comes to women’s hormones. As women we are left hanging out to dry. Our quality of life does not matter and hasn’t changed in decades. When a man has ‘hormonal ‘ health issues, it’s covered. Women have to pay 100% for anything except birth control which has nothing to do with the quality of our health. I help take care of my mom in a memory care facility several days per week. It is so depressing seeing all the women and what they are going through. I have researched long and hard to find out why it’s 80-90% women there because I don’t want this to happen to me. Some of the main reasons that kept coming up over and over again as to why ‘IS’ because of improper care of hormone loss at menopause! This is ridiculous that health insurance is allowed to continually treat it as unnecessary so they don’t have to cover it. I don’t think it’s the fear alone from the study stopping women. It’s also the cost.

The study they did was on women were post menopausal for over 20 years and had health issues. They stopped the study. They proved that HRT today that is body identical is safe and gives women the hormones they are missing to feel normal. They also proved that it did not increase the risk of breast cancer, or cause heart disease or type 2 diabetes. HRT actually prevents some of those diseases.

And lets not even talk about the large amount of weight gain being on HRT. I know a ton of women who got off HRT because they were depressed about the extra 30-50 lbs the HRT did to them. No one talks about MENOPAUSE. I am outraged,. God forbid we discuss the problems women have as we age. Any help we try to get and in some cases.... I've been laughed at by my doctor. I once had a hotflash in line at a store and a guy made a reference to me that he must have been making me nervous cause he was good Looking! I was so angered that in front of everyone I told him to not flatter himself. The list of rude comments goes on and on. Doctors arerude and do not listen to our menopause issues. I intend on making it my mission for everyone to educate themselves to try and hit it before things get real bad!
