Was Tijuana safe!?

I’ve been to Tijuana twice & wanted to like it, but it’s an absolute dump. The video doesn’t convey the filth, stench, & outright sketchy nature that permeates Tijuana.

If you want a cheap getaway & you’re willing to roll the dice on safety … good luck. I’d rather spend more coin & go to a quality destination with better variety of food. Tijuana is TACOS • TACOS • SEAFOOD • TACOS • TACOS • ceviche • TACOS.

I’m done with Mexico on whole … life’s too short to gamble on safety & getting food poisoning. Croatia • Italy • Hawaii • Montana • Wyoming … so many better places to support with tourism than Mexico when they clearly give zero Fs about safety & standards. 👎🏻

Did you guys have to have a passport? I need to go to Tijuana for dental, I want to walk across and call an Uber but I dont know if I can do it without a passport.

Cool video.. We are doing a California tour in summer with the kids, would a 3 nights in San Diego be sufficient to include Tijuana as well within?
We are also staying 3 nights in Los Angeles.

I crossed USA/ Mexico border and went to Tijuana Mexico in 1989

I crossed the border (on foot) into Tijuana and didn't have to show any identification at all...which kind of shocked me! This was about 8 years ago, not sure if that was more of the norm then or if that still happens sometimes.

I'm so glad i came across your video. My dream has always been to cross a border on foot/ car. Something about being able to walk across international lines seems so unbelievable and magical to me. I'll definitely add that to my bucket list since i live in California.
How does one get Pesos for transactions though?

I'm so upset with the crime scare in Mexico. I'm from Azerbaijan misplaced after the Massacare of Armenians (in Baku Azerbaijanian January 1990).
If it wasn't for the fear of crime I would have moved to Mexico a long time ago. It's funny, my beloved Caucasus is so far away but for the first time I felt at home was when I visited Tijuana for medical reasons. The people are real, not so cold and distant as in the US....the coldness in the US that I can't get used to for over 20 years.

My husband has to travel to Mexico to get his molar pulled because he can't find a dentist who'll pull his tooth the same day on the US side. Messed up beyond belief!

USA does not have a name for its nationals .....American does not = USA citizens.

You would find a selected regional Mexican food at selected restaurant, BUT COMON , NOT HERE AT THE REVOLUTION STREET.
