Thanks and well done
ОтветитьInstead of owning the responsibility for defeat and striving to preserve invaluable navy assets, the IJN admirals opted to gamble away Hiryu for mostly personal honor and very limited strategic goals.
ОтветитьI didn't recognize the vocalist in 'Watchtower'. It's not Hendrix. I thought I was in Nam.. that was cool. Thanks.
ОтветитьAs an american I'm starting to notice that as soon as we go into jungles we resort to men that want to watch the world burn really quickly
ОтветитьAnd otherwise good presentation is spoiled by your choice of language. You are free to express yourself in whatever way you want but as they are literally tens of thousands of other videos on the same subject, I am not constrained to watch yours.
I prematurely subscribed to your channel, I have unsubscribed, I will delete this video from my history, and should it recur. I will choose the option, not to see anymore from this channel.
No, you won’t miss my subscription, but how many can your channel afford to lose?
This is a really well worded an orchestrated series, I am a big history buff on World War II, I know how it ends but you had me on the edge of the seat lol, I drive semi so I really do appreciate these nice long videos so I can put them on the Bluetooth speaker and set my phone down and drive
ОтветитьI'd have mentioned the blackly humorous episode of the US Navy trying vainly to scuttle Hornet only to have every torpedo malfunction. It's fitting, in a way, the old girl did not want to sink.
ОтветитьAs an LHD sailor I had a PTSD flashback from the Marine corps hymn..... All the fuckin green weenies clogging up our p-ways
ОтветитьGreat video...👍
ОтветитьWrong Enterprise? BWAHAHAHAHA! I about pissed my pants from laughter!
ОтветитьThe type 93 "long lance" torpedo was ship launched. It was not used by the Japanese torpedo bombers. They probably used the type 91 aerial torpedo. At least according to the Wikipedia article.
ОтветитьGib Takao
ОтветитьI don’t remember this episode of Star Trek..
ОтветитьThough I've never watched Azur Lane and am familiar the story of the Big E due to battle 360, the anime scene has an interesting weight to it and knowing the real life parallels is certainly something to stir the emotions. From the fires of rage and sorrow: a god of war is born.
ОтветитьThe red crayon taste the best just saying lol.
ОтветитьDid...did Enterprise just go Super Saiyan?! ❤😅
ОтветитьI wish I could keep pushing the thumbs up like button, without limit.
ОтветитьYou are one heck of a story teller and historian. Thank you for your work and service mate
ОтветитьI thought I knew all of the famous quotes, phrases and speeches relating to WWII until this masterpiece. The older I become, with each passing year...I am constantly reminded of how much I do not know regarding history and more specifically my knowledge of the most iconic, motivational and inspiring speeches, phrases ever uttered until now....more famous, albeit less known or celebrated is without a doubt the most iconic phrase ever stated regarding a WWII battle....The old adage that those who dare ignore, discard or forget history are doomed to repeat it....and with that, I proclaim the following as the greatest War Time Speech ever projected to the masses, "...SUCK IT....BITCHES...".... is certainly worthy to be listed alongside of Lincoln, Churchill, Reagan and Trump....none have so powerfully and eloquently used so few words to say so much....therefore, all should never forget this iconic speech and remind and or teach the ignorant of this masterpiece...if any attempt to rebut such a proclomation simply remind them and they will never forger...."SUCK IT...BITCHES"!
ОтветитьSo thats why yorktown is shown as sick and out of action in azur lane...
ОтветитьI resent the fact that you degrade the U S Army . The U S Army fought in BOTH thearters the Alantic and the Pacific thearter the Marines only Fought in the Pacific Thearter . I'm not taking away from the Marines because they were and Still are Great Fighters as was and is the U S Army!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьIT WAS MAINLY DUE TO THE ARROGANCE/IGNORANCE OF THE JAPANESE EXCELLENT TORPEDOES! AMERICAN SO CALLED NAVAL EXPERTS COULD NOT BELIEVE TORPEDOES COULD OUT RANGE GUNS! WRONG! MANY AMERICAN SAILORS PAID WITH THEIR LIVES FOR THIS BELIEF!
Ответить10/10 for jimi's soundtrack at the start of operation watchtower.A superb documentory and priceless narration.
ОтветитьMy Dad was a ground grunt U.S. Marine and took part in all but two of the primary island attacks. Came home without a physical injury but some medals for his trouble. Of course he had nightmares for the rest of his fairly long life. Didn't get shot until he transferred to the Army and went to Korea. Took one in the thigh and kept most of its fragments in that same thigh until he died many good years later. He taught me to fish and hunt (like a boss) and loudly forbid me from joining up for Vietnam. Maybe some other war, he informed me and Mom, but not Vietnam.
ОтветитьMy dad was on USS Chicago up until she had to go back for repairs and was reassigned to USS Caster a stores issue ship that had a gun installed...
ОтветитьThis video would have been more impressive without the cartoons
ОтветитьThank you very much for the education.
ОтветитьExcellent, outstanding video! Really enjoyable to watch. the photos and film footage are assembled in such a way as to make the story come alive.
The subject matter is well documented, but this video shows it in a fresh view ,,first class work. I will make sure to share this series.
Some of the details are not often mentioned, and this video makes note of many. Everybody will enjoy this.
My Dad's 37th INF Div Ohio National Guards ,was on New Georgia Island. They were laying down arty for the the Marines.
ОтветитьI typically don't go for this level of goofiness in historical videos, but this one is really good. Even the goofy parts.
ОтветитьGreat video as always!
ОтветитьJust started to watch your channel. Honestly I do not know if you ever watched the anime High School Fleet. But if you have not watched, it is a pretty good anime that has some pretty cool historical focuses with Japanese ships.
Ответитьyou have defeated enterprise : yayyy
heavy metal starts as a bigger health meter appears : o no
Loved the bit with All Along the Watchtower and the mixup with which Enterprise was being talked about.
What version of the song was that? I'd like to add it to the 70s collection.
I’m in my 60s so maybe that’s why. But I don’t get why you keep putting cartoon images of those buxom chicks in amongst what is a very good appraisal of The Big E.
ОтветитьLove the videos, but I wish you had put in a clip from Devil Dogs when hyping up the Marines
ОтветитьUncle Sam's Misguided Children 😂😂
Ответитьcan someone tell me why people say usmc eat crayons
ОтветитьI love the video, and I know this is off topic, but what version of All along the Watchtower is that? It's driving me nuts and I can't find it
ОтветитьI love this. Thanks for making a documentary for weebs.
