Yeah, those puzzles are basically Sony’s holding pattern for their games now. Like between Horizon and GoW, how many of those puzzles were there in good context? Or were they their to just pad the game?

Uncharted had puzzles because that’s the entire Indiana Jones theme.

Spider-Man has puzzles because…well on reflection that’s also close to my point on Horizon and GoW. Like seriously why are their puzzles for Superheroes unless they are literally detective superheroes. (Or I guess Spiderman is trying to copy Arkham).

At this point, I would just mod out the puzzle sections as they just feel like padding for games where it isn’t necessary. They also contribute to the entire “Sony games are just one trick ponies” feel: 3rd person action adventure with puzzles. Just tack on the facade of either GoW, Horizon, or whatever.
