How to Add Text On Top of Image in Google Docs

Using image or pics what should be added

Okay good vid but even following your steps i could not for the life of me find the menu with "behind text"

This is not a procedure to add text on top of an image. It is a way to add an image as a background to text. This point is not nitpicking. I have pages with existing images that are already layed out.

Perhaps there are instances where people find this seemingly backwards facility useful. It is at best inflexible and tedious. I'd prefer to go back to laying out web pages.

Thanks. So far, Text has to be added first, I'm noticing. Can't seem to move the image afterwards :(

okay but what if at the bottom of your image you don't see those buttons after selecting the image
