"Remastering" Half-Life 2 With 102 MODS

Something that always bothers me with stuff like this is the lighting is always so saturated, it makes it look less realistic and more ugly

So you upload a video titled "Remastering" Half-Life 2 With 102 MODS" and the first thing you tell your audience is that you can not share the modpack. You are a smart guy, bravo!

That's a lot of mods for not that significant of a difference. I'll take Half-Life 2: Update and MMod.

Did you by any chance played this mod pack on every map, cause it crashes on nova prospect shortly after the Entanglement chapter? Like pls, is there anything extra that you did so it doesnt crashes?

It works up until I get to Ravenholm, then my game just crashes..

If you recall, what ended up being the final filesize for the entire mod list?
I can only imagine how so many 4k textures and hi-poly models would start significantly adding up.

If you want to turn down the saturation it's very easy with ReShade.
If it's just the bloom that's bothering you, a console command like this will fix it:
mat_bloom_scalefactor_scalar .5

I know the RTX remix is on it's way and fans will more than likely pester them to remake the episodes as well, and MMod is just going to happen, we all just know that... BUT that aside, since my PC will brun before I get to the menu of an RTX game, is there ANY chance you guys could make this level of mod crazy remaster for the episodes as well?

Some mods are compatible with the episodes yes, but others aren't. I know the episodes aren't as good as the main game and they gave a smaller fanbase, but it would just be nice to have the complete HL2 story remastered like this in case I can't run the upcoming RTX thingie. 😅👍

Well, Radhaz... I kinda went overboard by using Skyclad's mod list: 179 mods.

Looks like there're no mipmaps on majority of the textures, it just looks really bad with all that texture aliasing & grain. 😂

If you throw Cinematic Mod on top of it a d adjust some stuff, that would be straight up a full remaster.

Looks like worsened Cinematic Mod with extra steps and oversaturation to be honest.

I spent the morning downloading mod by mod, the result is simply amazing, they took the liberty of covering many aspects of the game, simply excellent!!

There's only one mod missing: Dark-Life 2

sorry but i hate when mods add a ton o bloom in bright areas, it feels older and cheaper than original :S but the models, textures and even light in some areas are amazing!

Stock HL2: Cold, Bitter
Modded HL2: *Plays Better call saul soundtrack*

Visuals looks way worse than in stock version

EDIT: I deiced i would download all the mods, I had to uninstall a few but the rest of the game was a Perfect remaster.
