The original beat box. Sick machine, never seen anything like it.
ОтветитьShe's always well lubed....
No wonder he's in love....
It would have been a better video if you just backed of a few feet so we could see more.
ОтветитьIf I financed a lemon for $11,000 and I don't even have it now...
I think I'd rather buy used car from someone, and save for one of these
I hope you folks learn how to build these and similar items from scratch because the time will come when old tech like this will be invaluable to rebuilding this country after its fall.
ОтветитьOver a 100 yrs old and still truckin
ОтветитьOld equipment will always last because it is significant over built but if todays equipment was built to the same standard no body but the elite Rich would be able to afford them. This is because of the amount of raw material used and the fact that it doesn't break the company woukd have to price the unit high enough to sustain the company for its a one time sale.
Ответитьso this large thing pisses oil and grease all over the ground, weights a couple tons and makes less power than a 60cc pushmower, yea that's better
ОтветитьWhere do you plug in the computer?
ОтветитьOSHA would $hit a brink over those unprotected flywheels. What a beauty!!!
Ответитьim not wearing my redwings im wearing my square toes when operating this hahaha
Ответитьdude the grease fittings part is insane it sucked when its cold our or somethings clogged. that looks so much better
ОтветитьWell how about that chitty chitty chuff Bang! Saw another one once about 40 years ago somebody said when you put a load on it it slows down enough to fire again maybe every time it's good to see someone keeping it going
ОтветитьShe sure snorts pants grunts and moans .. sounds kind of like an irritated pissed off grizzly bear
ОтветитьThe answer is simple. Back in the day , they made things to LAST, but that has gone out the window. They also took PRIDE in their WORK
ОтветитьYou should have just mailed a paper transcript of this video to everyone.
ОтветитьGreat job guys. Thank you 😊
ОтветитьThat's kinda pretty. If this 1916 engine is so good, and new stuff is inferior, why isn't this doing work?
ОтветитьChucky you're BACK! I thought you were gone forever! Thanks for doing more videos.
ОтветитьI wanted to watch this but your camera skills suck. Here, there, zoom out, zoom in, now quick over here/there everywhere. To helter skelter.
Ответитьpretty cool but what was it used for back in the day besides show and tell
ОтветитьThis motor always starts, but it’s only 3 hp.😂
ОтветитьNo such thing as 'Over engineered' - old git, UK
ОтветитьLOL, where's your pre-ww1 car then. Cool, and stuff was well made, but how much material does it take, and how much do you think making something like that would cost today with the wages, taxes and legislation you want. You people who think all "new" things are scams crack me up, what do you do for a living, copy and paste emails?
ОтветитьThat's got to be the most ignorant compassion I've ever heard.
ОтветитьOh ya the old stuff is much better! High quality stuff.
Ответить😎
ОтветитьI love a stroll down memory lane as much as the next guy but "modern" equipment isn't a "scam".
Are there some poorly designed and constructed products that are just a cash grab? Certainly!
But that doesn't deserve a blanket statement that broad-brushes a whole economic sector.
Does anyone really think the same class of shoddy items didn't exist in the distant past? Because if you do, you are fooling yourself.
Old stuff is 100x better than anything new
ОтветитьThank you for the content and commentary. Your camera work SUCKS! I got motion sickness from your camera spinning. Tripod dude, tripod. Your free hand camera work is revoked.
ОтветитьI bet that cost a fortune in 1916!😲
ОтветитьOld Mechanical Ingenuity is better than technology
ОтветитьHand held cams sucks
ОтветитьDamn what a lovely machine
ОтветитьI love the old stuff, the simplicity of machines of that era were fascinating to watch and listen too. But give me a new John Deere any day😊
ОтветитьMaybe next time you can find someone to hold the camera so we all don't get car sick
ОтветитьShe's a beauty
ОтветитьCool, they don't make them like that anymore.
ОтветитьI drive a 1998 Jeep Wrangler and a 1995 Subaru SVX. Every time I drive a new car, I'm more convinced that I will drive my 1998 Wrangler and my 1995 SVX until I die. I will never buy a new car.
ОтветитьIt's quiet.
ОтветитьAnyone with a brain knows that all modern technology is purposely designed to to break easily so you have to either buy repair parts or newer models.
Ответитьleft wing liberal demokkkrats call these wonderful machines ENEMIES OF THE STATE😆
ОтветитьI like the old engines and I visit the local antique steam and engine show every year. I also know which 6 HP engine I would rather push around my lawn to cut my grass.
ОтветитьAmazing anyone figured that out😊
ОтветитьAbsolutely awesome ty for sharing
ОтветитьI want one!
ОтветитьGreat engine, knowledgeable owner. Trite and unfunny remarks throughout made video difficult to watch. Gets a like in spite of the silly banter.
ОтветитьLong, boring tl;dr
The reason why older equipment seems to "run forever" are many. To brush it all off on "stupid computers" and "plastic parts" is ignorant at best.
Firstly - the old eqpt you see today is the one with least use. All the old stuff that was used regularly - got worn out. Otherwise we'd see 10x older cars on the road and 100x older washing machines.
Into the sparse of what you see todsy this engine fits perfectly - because even as far as IC engines go it's built wrong - no crank counterwrights. That will just eat up the big end bearings.
Finally, older equipment is far less energetic. If old engines did just fine with say 10hp/10L displacement, today it's a death sentance as the thing would weigh something awful. And equipment that is physically smaller/lighter yet yields a higher effect will also experience so much more stress and wear.
So this eternal "everything was better back in the day" is a strawman.
