Why is this being called an adoption industry? The parents didn't give the kid up. The child was kidnapped and trafficked.

the social workers seemed powerless and seem to be sad about it all, the ceos - just a typical greedy happy to harm innocent children and for what? hell is too good for these people

Very sad that this happened, I have thought about things like this with foreign adoption

I’m adopted from Korea, I always have the wandering thoughts about the two people in this world that look like me and if I have any half siblings or not. I truly wish that I would be able to meet my biological parents, but my adoption agency shut down. It’s saddening knowing that I will never know the woman that birthed me.

Yoo-Ri story is really heart-breaking.
As a french woman, I feel ashamed of what she was subjected to. Her determination to find justice is really touching and I hope she'll find peace, eventually. It's a really good thing that we get to see her confronting/speak out against her adoptive mother, and I was glad to know that she may have had approached the police to relate what this despicable man did to her. (As the adoptive mother seems to imply)
She is really empowering.

I would be happy to find my real parents! That joy would overweigh the dispair of an awful situation.

In my religion and country adoption is not allowed and you could see why. You are only allowed to be a guardian of child since it is not allowed to remove the child from his birth lines or prevent him from knowing where he came from or who is his parent

The question is what did their parents in Korea? Did they go to the police to inform their children were kidnapped? Why not?
