I’m actually so baffled by this need to send an invoice within 2 days the stress 😂

Very helpful and informative video indeed yet a small query, is it mandatory that the due date must be a 30 day period or it can be as low as 1 or 2 days.

In an ERP system what accounts get credited and debited when generating an invoice?

What if I send clients and estimate rather than an invoice? And they just pay the estimate? Can I do that?

I take photos for clients. In the rare chances the invoice may change during production. Should I still be using the invoice or is the estimate a better option?

I would invoice before (in 2-3 payments; upon booking & 1mo in advance to shoot). I would have an additional invoice AFTER the production which is for the post-production fees... This is separate as the post-production fees are undetermined as its based on what the Client chooses, and the invoice is based off that.

This guy easily explained the key topics such as the information that should be included in an invoice, the difference between an invoice and a receipt, and the benefits of using online invoicing tools like InvoiceBerry. Speaking of which, InvoiceBerry seems like a great platform for creating and managing invoices easily and efficiently.

I live in Canada. I used to work for a company that does wholesale selling and I agree with you. We gotta make sure that invoices are signed or else the customers will deny the existence of the invoice and won't pay it. Really a pain in the ass. Thank you for this video. Great video explaining all the details about correct invoicing. However, I think QuickBooks, Xero and Freshbooks are often overblown for a lot of small business owners. They're complex and require quite a bit of learning to not mess up things. A simpler invoicing-only system such as InvoiceBerry is not only easier to get used to, but it helps the business owner to focus on their job and leave some of the heavier accounting part to their accountant/bookkeeper at the end of the year.
