I take issue with the whole 'five senses'. I mean, what about a sense of humor. Or a sense of thirst and hunger. There's probably something I'm missing, but it seems there are more than five senses.

Gonna give a thumbs down on this one. Most of these 'plot holes' aren't plot holes at all. But seeing as this is 4 years old, I can't be bothered
to point out why.

I think some of the comments are too harsh and are not real plot holes. There's no reason to suppose that ghosts have a coherent stream of consciousness. If they did then almost nothing would make sense in an any ghost story ever. It seems more "likely" that their experiences are more like dreams i.e. if you have a realistic dream about an event you never question the missing actions that are required to bring you to that point. You might as well question whether Willis' ghost character needs to eat or goes to the toilet.

Am I the only one who hates M Knight Sham movies? Most of his characters have zero life or depth; emotion seems strangely forbidden; and the plots are as bad as the acting. 🤦‍♂️

“Eyes on the twist, sir!” - beautifully stated, Ryan

The "twist" of the movie is pretty obvious, they couldn't make it more obvious if they tried. We saw him get shot. Then nobody else but Cole reacts to him or interacts with him. There's one part of the house he can't get in and his wife won't even aknowledge him. I saw it in theatres with my friends and i went :" i think he's a ghost" " yup, bound to be". This was in the first 20 minutes or so.

Here's an idea for a twist from Shamalyamayonlyon or however the hell his name is spelled! He makes a movie... without a twist in it!. Just a straightforward plot throughout the whole thing! The entire time the audience is watching it, they're all waiting for the twist to come along, only for it not to.

There were some plot holes, but you’re focusing too much on the wording “see what they want to see,” which was an explanation from the perspective of a child. It’s not that they want to see certain things, but that they’re trapped mentally and will assimilate everything around them to fit their belief that they’re alive. They’re drawn to Cole and the reason things are “off screen” is because there is no appointment, and didn’t “track cole down.” He just believes that. But yes, there still inconsistency in the ghost behavior.

Another excellent pitch meeting and now I want to see the movie again!!!

I liked this movie and Unbreakable. Sixth Sense, I had the rare privilege of watching it at home completely uninterrupted (we had 4 school age kids at the time, all in school, and my wife was somewhere away from home). In Unbreakable, I learned some very cool things about comic book art. I've seen the Unbreakable pitch meeting also.

It’s a good thing that clothes have an afterlife. Maybe ghosts can go to a large ghost building and pick costumes too. The more you think about it, the worse it gets.

I hope he'd stop mocking well-loved classics. As someone mentioned, all movies have plot holes and whatnot within the context of this level of "scrutiny". Suspension of disbelief, remember that? 2 hour runtime right? I mean, I guess all these are just for fun.. I dare you to do a Pitch Meeting for Citizen Kane or The Godfather movies.

Anyway, not entertained when these classics are mocked for comedic value. Mock Shakespeare or Ernest Hemingway. Not cool.

M. Night Shyamalan is a genius. He wrote a movie where nobody would notice nothing made sense until the end of the movie, and nobody would realise it didn’t make sense because nobody would want to see it again once they knew the twist! Brilliant.

I love all the Pitch Meetings, but I think this needs to be entirely redone! By giving away the 'he was dead the whole time' twist early in the pitch really limited your jokes. I think it would have been much funnier if you had the producer continue to ask the same questions with the writer giggling about the whole secret the entire time... then have the producer guess the secret right before the writer gets to make his big reveal.
