Is it just the way this was recorded, or what?! Surely a SWAM Trumpet sounds more realistic than this?

Wonderful!!!! Could this swam trumpet be used as a midi as well? For a live show I’ve a feeling the iPad would be to slippery. So could I use a keyboard? I understand I probably wouldn’t get to do as much vibrato etc. Thank you.
