Greetings 🙏
Sir can u please do similar review of Nikon ZFC, please 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks Richard for you great Instruktion! I tried it with my D780, nobody talks about, but it worked! Could capture a Day to Night Timelaps without any Flicker ...
Greetings to Down Under!
What lens were you using in this video?
ОтветитьI'm a little late to the game here but this is the best video I have seen about time lapse with a Nikon. Easy to apply to my Z8. Thanks!
ОтветитьBrilliant video. I have been toying with the idea of getting into the mirrorless Nikon world after shooting for the last few years with my D750 with which I have done a bit of time lapse photography. Your video convinced me totally and you have nudged me closer to making a decision. Thank you!
ОтветитьI have to say I had very little expectations from this video. My concerns grew as you advised us with few ideas, but you made excellent job explaining why you are giving these ideas, knowing that they would raise some eyebrows. great! I will play the video definitely one more time and make notes to take away and start using some of your tips! thank you so much!
ОтветитьI did not look at all the comments so perhaps this has been mentioned, but you might want to mention that selecting 15" exposure in this camera results in a 16" long exposure! Similarly, selecting 30" results in a 32" long exposure. So, make sure and select an interval of at least 18" when using 15" exposures and use an interval of at least 34" for 30" exposures. By the way, this is a very smart video with a lot of good, subtle advice
ОтветитьHow big xqd card do you use fir a time-lapse if you only record ;k file no raws for say 2hours
ОтветитьSo from day to night which setting should I start with ? or leave it programmed and then set interval to 15sec?
ОтветитьA fantastic timelaps during the night.
Ответитьjust one little guestion i was forgotten to ask ..in P mode for auto timelaps do you need to set exposure smoothing? or is this automatic done due to P mode ?
ОтветитьI wish i could undertand it but no i cant. I have the z9 but for backup i am going to buy the z6 2 and do timelapses but i have to leave this idee thats a bit sad .
ОтветитьHi there, first of all I’d like to say that this is an amazing explanation about using the time laps mode build inside the camera. I’d like to try this feature out. Especially for nighttime photography. In the past I was using an external device, where I was putting the camera into manual mode and the shutter speed into bulb mode.
But now I keep asking myself „how can I control the shutter speed in manual mode?“
Maybe you can give me an advice. Greetings from Germany. Michael
this video is awesome
ОтветитьWow! Your timelapse videos are beautiful! I have a Z6II and have been struggling with the day to night shots. I think you're the only person using the full capability of this camera. I'm going to use your methods. Thanks.
ОтветитьVery useful and thank you! But, under very dark skies here with clouds (Cherry Spring, Pennsylvania, USA) the camera stop taking pictures with these settings. I'm thinking that when the camera can no longer find the correct exposure, it stops. I replicated this behavior inside in a room that I made darker and darker. I was hoping that the camera would keep on going and just underexpose the picture. Is there any setting to have the camera just keep going in P mode, even if the picture will be underexposed? Thanks!
ОтветитьI’m blown away by this video. Thank you for the information and the manner in which you delivered it: thoughtful, sensible, inspirational. I cannot wait to get outside with my new camera, and thanks to you I feel like I can achieve my goals.
ОтветитьI recently bout the Timelapse+ View for use with my D810 and D750 and watching this video makes me want to throw my phone out of the window…. Right after I buy a Z6ii 🤣
ОтветитьWondering if this process will work in reverse for night to day timelapse. My guess is it should. Thanks again.
Ответитьis z6 2 worth it mate ?
ОтветитьBrilliant Richard Thanks so much 😊
ОтветитьHi Richard. Used your advice on settings last week and I think turned out great for my first attempt with the Z6ii. Only question I have is what do you recommend for the white balance setting if not shooting or exporting the movie file in raw?
ОтветитьGreat advices! Thank you. One question hits me. If you do a 900 shots time lapse together with the 4k video, what card do you use? How big must the card be. Or is there a possibility to use the two cards in the camera additionally (one after the other)?
ОтветитьHi Richard! I need your help. What settings do you recommend for fire show dance? Autofocus settings and other. Help!!!
ОтветитьSensacional walkthrough!! Awesome videos, love your content!! Keep on shooting!!
ОтветитьOutstanding. Brilliant. Amazing tutorial👍🏻👍🏻
ОтветитьThank you 😊
ОтветитьGreetings from México. Excellent video and very instructive your information. Just a question, I have seen other youtubbers talk about the "dirty" screen of the Nikon z5 and z6 to make time lapses. Let me explain, they show how, in photo mode, at night the LCD screen looks full of red or blue dots. But in video mode the screen looks clean. Does the same thing happen with the z6ii?? We wait for your reply. Thanks
ОтветитьGreat video. For the milky-way Timelapse, did you use P mode or Manual? Just wondering if it’s just milky way, which doesn’t need a variable exposures, can we just do manual instead of M?
ОтветитьI´ve got a problem with the exposure meassurment. When doing a day to night timelapse I have the problem, that the exposure meassurment doesn´t increase the ISO at a certain level of light. The allowed maximum auto-ISO is 12800 but still the camera get stuck at 20s, f2.8 and ISO1250, where as a decent exposued image would need ISO 6400. Did I miss a setting or what´s the problem? Is the problem that the exposure meassurment is limited to a specific amount of low-level light? Thank for the help.
ОтветитьI've got a question about shutter speed in P mode. In your example you mentioned an interval of 15 seconds. Once the light starts dropping off at night, what stops the shutter speed to keep increasing to a 30 second exposure before adjusting the ISO? Does setting the interval someone limit the shutter speed to not go longer than that?
ОтветитьIn the next field exit on the New Moon, I will do the test of Canon R6 in "P" Mode, unfortunately it still does not have the Smoothing Control, its explanation is very complex but very detailed, hug.
ОтветитьBrilliant video production, what passion! I am going to try night and astro photography.
ОтветитьThis is great! However in program mode my camera defaults to widest aperture if dull light. Am I correct in saying there’s no way to “limit” widest aperture in p mode? For example I’d love my 20mm G nikkor to only open up to f2.8, not 1.8 which it seems to go to automatically? Appreciate any guidance if you have a moment.
ОтветитьAbsolutely lovely work - inspirational in fact.
ОтветитьHi Richard thanks first of all for your great Vids, can I shoot a question, how did you calculate the Zeapon heads settings for that Milkyway follow shot.
ОтветитьGreat video, and great info. Curious if the Z7 ii has the same ability for astro timelapse. Thinking of switching to mirrorless and trying to decide which camera to get. Thanks.
ОтветитьHello Richard, awesome review, thank you. Do you find that the Mark 2 version of this camera works equally well as compared to the original Z6 for GENERAL astrophotography? I’ll be purchasing a camera and want to make sure I shouldn’t be looking to find the original versus the Mark 2. Thanks!
ОтветитьI really enjoyed the video. Since these are 10 to say 13 second images. Can these be stacked in a software stacking program, and then processed in Photoshop to also create a composite image.
ОтветитьGreat advice! Thanks
ОтветитьSo whats the difference of using A or P mode?? And white balance is set other than auto? Greets
ОтветитьI've just upgraded to the Z6ii, I can't wait for Milky way season now having watched this video, there is a 150 year old railway viaduct in Wales (UK) I plan to have as my foreground, Its beautiful on Its own, I'm hoping It will look stunning with the Milky Way above, superbly informative video
ОтветитьInspired to try my first time lapse!
ОтветитьHave you done a video on how to do a day to night time lapes with this camera? Id love to see that as I'm getting this camera
ОтветитьHello Richard, how are you? I bought a Nikon Z6 II at the end of 2022. I have a question that I believe you can clarify (I wrote to Nikon Americas and received an answer that was not very clear). Let's go: I take several pictures. I stop taking pictures and don't turn off the camera. When taking new photos, the last one appears in the camera's viewfinder (not the LCD -- I shoot very little on the LCD). I have to press the shutter button to "wake up" the camera and make the last picture disappear from the viewfinder. That is, it has a delay to start shooting again. Have you ever had this situation? Is it related to electronic trigger? Or the flicker reduction? Thank you for your attention and congratulations on the videos and your work. Hug.
Ответитьi need time to process all the information. great video
ОтветитьThis video sold me on the extra cost of the z6ii for my backup camera.
ОтветитьWould these settings work with a night to day Timelapse?
Ответить
