If you can manage to not get mugged by some crackhead before your ride arrives - neat!

I'm shocked that they have allowed these cars to be functioning freely like this even if it's under a test scenario because I don't think they are ready at all

It is crazy that there is so little regulation and consumer protection that this thing is on this state running around a city.

Until road environment and all participants are analog it is dead end, everything needs to be digitalised, if no - no luck to trust cameras and lidars. 7 years ago I was dropping one interesting man at SF airport, he was part of autonomous car development team, he finally quit that work due to nonsense. His reply was - it won’t happened neither in near nor mid future.

Typical California bureaucrats, can't do anything right. They probably didn't even ride in the car before approving it.

It suspected it was being trailed by the car behind, so for your safety it ditched the destination...better to walk the rest on foot, that way you can run and scream.🤣. Way to go Waymo.

there needs to be more regulation with this stuff. i mean there will be eventually when the tragedies and lawsuits pile up, but it shouldnt have to get to that point before we decide to do something.

if it cant tell whether or not a lights green then what happens if it cant tell if its red? thats 1 among numerous other glaring red flags about these things.

What is wrong with people driving taxis? You know, providing people with jobs, social interaction etc etc. Automation is all fun and games until we’re all living on the street.

I think the bot quit listening to all the whining and complaining. So the dev. Needed to interview another bot to continue the ride. It's said that a few bots committed Suicide during the filming of this video. View discretion is advised.😅😅😅

Speech recognition is getting really good. Why can't it be possible to give some final instructions to the car, to get it to stop where you want (still respecting laws and the road maps) ?

This woman seems like she has no idea what's she doing. Calling customer support because she can't figure out how to use a basic app? ABC7 needs someone who actually understands the basics of technology so we can expose the real issues with Waymo, not this surface level BS.

creating problems, incidents and accidents for NO reason, what on earth is the point of something like this. Can't think of any other reason than to just not pay actual people to drive.

What totally bothers me is you decided to put your life in a very dangerous situations. I told my wife that WE WILL NOT TRY THIS DRIVERLESS CARS craziness at this moment . If we are still alive maybe we will try them in 10-20 years from now.

I am not a genius but, the road must be or have somekind of technology for the cars to follow which we don't have at all. GPS is not enough to guide these driverless cars.
