Dark Souls 3 OST: Dancer of the Boreal Valley Phase 1 - Extended

this fight, in retrospect, set up some unrealistic expectations for me in Dark Souls 3. The eerieness of the Dancer is reflected more in the enemies of Irithyll than any of the important characters.

I would've like the Abyss Watchers more if they were more than just an Artorias throwback (the traitor fighting with you is a neat spin), I will profess to the day I die that Yhorm's fight deserved better, and Aldrich never having a cutscene irks me to no end. Even if it had just been Gwyndolin struggling to resist Aldrich as he was slowly devoured before going limp, sinking into the murk, and emerging as the Worm we all know and hate. Pontiff should have had a bit more leadup, IMO, as he's basically part of the catalyzing force for the events of the game. Why are Vordt and the Dancer in Lothric?

idk man. This fight is a standout in tone, presentation, and story. The way she moves and the description of how she and Vordt were twisted into monstrous figures really sell the character, but don't do much to assist the lackluster development.

I think it just boiled down to Dark Souls III was preoccupied with trying to be a love letter to the franchise.

Me first time fighting the dancer: oh my god. this is so intriguing her movements are disturbing and get me in an immediate sense of stress and horror, the music doesn't help either but i need to keep my cool. i need to be careful this is gonna be a tough fight

Me now: WHO'S A SNEAKY GIRL?

I really like phase one, phase two is unnecessary like about a third of the bosses who have second phases that don’t really need them(Iudex Gundyr, Vordt, Aldrich, Dancer and sorta Dragonslayer Armour) Having a second phase is cool when done right, but when literally every boss has a second phase, it’s stops being special, especially when phase 2 is just annoying and ruins an otherwise really unique and atmospheric fight.

This boss is easy if you run a poise-tank and run at it with a great hammer.

Tried some other things, they sucked by comparison.

I like the music, but your channel name at a first glance was off putting

this whole fight was mesmerizing, it constantly threw me off, the music and the way the dancer moves with the locked on camera... I wasnt playing my game at all, i was under her spell, so to speak.
