Santa Cruz holds a special place in my heart. Growing up there, I have fond memories of fishing on the Wharf as a kid and, later, busking as an adult, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, delicious restaurants, and stunning views. One moment that stands out is from the winter of '62 when I saw a large sailboat washed ashore on the beach nearby. It was a powerful reminder of the beauty and might of nature—a lesson Santa Cruz has always been good at teaching.

This is wild isn't it. Now the whole wharf has to shut down. This will affect my Marini's candy shop one of my favorite stores. Sad. My friends in Manresa said they are seeing lots of debris there. They saw a huge piling like a telephone pole with big railroad spikes and sharp barnacles on it. They are telling folks not to touch anything. The harbour also got beat up. 👋👱‍♀️🐈🐈🐈‍⬛🐾💕

I'm from Omaha but have been to Santa Cruz numerous times and I've been on that pier AND bought souvenirs in that building.

So because the workers weren’t urgent enough, you refuse to move from a collapsing area and put you and your daughter in danger?! Wow. How idiotic!

OMG, me and my family had been there a little over a year ago. We're ate at that last restaurant at the end of the peer. :( So sad that happened.
