Ellipsograph - 3D Model Animation

Animated 3D model of an ellipsograph, created using Autodesk Inventor and Carrara Studio. Also called a do-nothing machine and the trammel of Archimedes. Turn the crank, and the knob traces an ellipsoidal path as the shuttles reciprocate within the base.
