if you click continue the application will ignore the attempt to continue.
if you click quit the application will close immediately

this happens when I open it.

when put the mod in the mods folder the mod maneger dont have to mod i just refresh it again and agion and it still doent work

I did everything you did, step by exact step. It did not work. I kept saving and playing button, but it kept bringing me to Sonic Mania (Data Folder) application, which is essentially Sonic Mania but with a black screen. Sadly, can't exactly show you what I'm talking about. And I doubt you would comment back since you've moved on from this topic. So long story short, this did not work for me
