anyone know how do you queue ladder builds into existing tiles? so that the dupes will dig + build ladder through it?

How to deal with heat:

Just leave the planet before the heat becomes an issue.

Klei should do some mechanics as they had in Dont Starve, if you dont like generated world, grab some materials and lift off with bunch of duplicants to live elsewhere

you dont need ADVANCED rocket piloting that just makes it return 10% faster.

Also you could run your refinery into a pool of water, the first steel batch to make a gas pump inside it. Then wait for everything to turn to steam...

Why not make better use of stripper poles early on? They're an easy way to rapidly increase dupe speed; for half the trip at least.

OCD triggerred, i cant play speedrun

So I tried following side by side on dual screens in QoLMk3 live, and took me till cycle 11 to reach what you had on cycle 5. My biggest bottleneck compared to you was speed of research. For whatever reason it seemed like you were learning twice as fast as me with 1 dupe. I did everything else exactly like you. I even made sure to only tunnel and build what was absolutely necessary like you were doing. Made sure researcher never did anything else either, he was ALWAYS researching if not using toilet/bed.

Points to improve:
1. you don't need 4 toilets, just change the dupe's schedule so they'll go to the bathroom in groups of 3.
2. was told that you don't need any advanced food until later in the game so to save on clean water you can make do with the basic food. this would save you the research time as well for other things.

Taking into account the colony state at the end – constant food shortage and overwhelming level of carbon dioxide – the end of video looked like your astronaut said "fuck this shit, I'm out – bye, losers!".

Meanwhile in my colony, dupe stll pooping in floor and eatting shit covered meal worm.
