My SCARIEST GAME of 2022 (so far...) | MADiSON Review

Would love a video explaining the whole story of this game, it seems fascinating. Also idk why but the expression “blow your beans” made me giggle. Also “all fart and no shit but it could be shit” 😂

I am SO HAPPY you drew the connection between the main character voice and that goddamn Pinocchio VA, I heard it IMMEDIATELY and could not unhear it

One of the worst horror games I’ve ever played it was legit nothing more than a boring puzzle solving simulator not to mention all of the annoying jumpscares and cliche story which wouldn’t have mattered if the actual game was good! 4/10 for me

Someone said that the main character sounds like James Charles and I can’t unhear it 😫

After Visage, MADiSON didn't do it for me. I was bored. Visage spoiled me and I haven't found a game that surpassed it yet.

just found your channel today but i love your vids. Gonna binge them.

I was VERY dissapointed with this game. Everyone kept telling "it's the sCariEsT game ever!" So I obviously wanted to try it. I bought it and I can say that I wasted 30 euros on this thing. The main Characters voice acting was atrocious but I was happy that there was a silent mode. Yeah, the house was creepy (at first) and I did get mildly scared by the teleporting statue and when I first saw the blue knees monster peeking at me. And the story about the grandmother losing her eyesight fast was also creepy. Other than that the game was not that scary at all, the Madison character jump scaring you but not harming you in any way got annoying real quick. When it just kept happening I just remember saying "yeah yeah, very spooky" I also loathed the constant annoying puzzles. Some of them were fine though.The story was also all over the place and the ending was not good at all. Yeah, I get that some people find Madison scary but I wish they would stop saying "yOu aRe lYiNg!" To everyone else who didn't find the game that scary. There are actually people who don't find the same things scary that you do. Maybe because I have been playing Playstation games since I was 9 years old (I'm now 36) it will take more from a game to impress me, especially when it comes to horror games/movies. I know if I had played this game when I was a kid or a teen I would have loved it, but nowadays jumpscaring monsters in games/movies do not lmpress me, they only annoy me 🤷🏻‍♀️ I even tried to give this game a second chance, maybe I was missing something, because everyone kept saying that the game is good. So I played it the second time and....nope, didn't change my opinion of the game.

Bought the game on sale last week on ps5. Haven’t touched the game since after 10 mins of gameplay. Any horror game that gives you a weapon dosent seem to phase me in the slightest but one bang in this game and I was like fuck no.

While I can play horror games (while watching horror movies is impossible) I really love your analysis of this one!
I love breaking down scares and atmosphere in games because they're interactive, so I feel a lot less helpless and it fascinates me about when a scare gets me and why.

So far visage is the scariest game ive ever played but im exicted to start this game up tonight 😊

I read the story of Visage and I thought it was the dumbest representation of mental illness I've ever heard of.

Just watched your Blair Witch analysis, and just wanted to say your reviews are always fun and I really vibe with you approach to horror. I really liked the ~vibe~ of MADiSON, and I was also intrigued as to where they'd take the story but unfortunately was ultimately disappointed in that regard. Still a mostly fun experience however.

I have severe adrenal fatigue due to Elher-Danlos syndrome, so it's hard to get into a spooky game, because even though my brain registers something as scary or strange or what-have-you, I don't get anything out of it, sadly.

Maybe Madison is so good, my brain will find some adrenaline anyway, haha.

Cockroaches are EVERYWHERE in the story, sometimes they're just not that noticeable. Two times they really helped me were (spoilers for puzzle solutions following)














When you're surrounded by red doors and need to get out of the basement you can see them on the ground crawling into one of the doorways. This tells you which door to photograph to get out.

And after you return from the church - and I'm not sure what exactly triggers them - you can find them crawling towards the room by the grandparents bedroom towards the floorboards with the red key under them. That was the only puzzle I had to look up, because I didn't know what to do next, but had I noticed the bugs on my first playthrough I wouldn't have gotten stuck there.
