No offense, because I am in the middle of the video, but Level 2 bless her heart. Rye seasoning and a blue cheese butter? Why??? That is quite possibly the most awful combination I have ever heard for a steak. I just hope she enjoyed it.

ОтветитьAll three seem like they are cooked by people who don't actually care for the flavor of steak, especially the lv 3, what a waste of a nice piece of aged ribeye, salt and black pepper, and if you want to be fancy finish it with some melted butter and garlic, all three are covering up the taste of the steak with way too much seasoning.

ОтветитьLevel 3...That's not hollandaise sauce....that's mayo with butter. Your supposed to cook the egg (not scramble) over double boil. Also that steak is raw not med rare. Sous vide is overrated. Pan, butter, garlic, fresh herbs, S/P. Sear baste sear baste, check doneness with finger, let rest 5 min or longer. Slice and eat. Done.

ОтветитьThe only "sauce" you need with steak is some butter.mayhe garlic butter if you're feeling really fancy. If you need sauce, you overcooked it.

ОтветитьI would really love it if instead of all chefs having different ingredients, each level chef would have identical ingredients and cooking utensils so that we could see more than just a "fancier" cut of meat or a vacuum sealer. It would be great to see innovation on the part of the chefs, like the amateur might just chop the jalapeno and throw it into the steak rub while the chef might roast it and turn it into a roasted jalapeno cream sauce.
ОтветитьFlank steak needs to be marinated preferably over night. My flank steak is outstanding, and I marinate it with soy sauce, molasses, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and ginger. Cooked 2-3 min on each side on the grill for med rare, cut against the grain, and mmmm, what a flavorful flank steak!
