Just got this lens in 2023 on my "play" camera a6000, haven't really exercised it properly, but just playing around the house, I think it will be a great standard zoom/travel lens. Can't wait to take it on my next trips.

How do you change the zoom speed and also how do you know what focal length you're shooting at?Is there a digital readout out on the LCD screen since there are no actual markings on the lens?

How does it stack up against like the Sigma 30mm 1.8 DN art lenses when it comes to colour and clarity?

I love this lens. I use it on my a6500 and the shots are amazing. It is a little front end heavy so it's not so good for vlogging. These mirrorless cameras are super small and lite so when you add a lens like this, it throws the weight distribution a little off. It then is no longer a compact powerful camera. It's still powerful, but no longer compact. If you're thinking about vlogging, I tI would recommend a different lens. Or expect your arms to go through a workout. Otherwise, great lens!

so this will not work with a full frame sony a 7 3? and a gimbal?

Can you use this and zoom with a FS7 or FS700R video camera? I realize it's emount. I'm looking for a servo zoom capability. I imagine you can also change the zoom velocity with the manual zoom?

I believe this will also work for Full Frame Emount cameras but crops to APS-C format which doesnt matter because its a zoom lens anyway..

Hi John, Getting ready to take a Med cruise from Barcelona and end up in Athens with many ports of call. Would this be my go to lens for most scenery,buildings,churches, ruins etc... or do you suggest another one for my 6300. Not really going to do videos. Stills would be the choice

Hey John. I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I already own a Tamron 18-200mm for my a6000. bought it before doing an extensive research on lenses for the a6000 and photography in general. i am not a pro but I do enjoy shooting stills when traveling. should I replace my 18-200mm with the 18-105? the constant f4 is really tempting.

Will this do ok for a dance recital? I have shot one with the 55-210 f5.6-6.3 but had a lot of trouble (understandably) with the noise at the zoomed end. The preferable 70-200 f2.8 is a bit out of my range. I'm looking for some assurance or pointers.

Does the Power zoom version of the 18-200 produce the same sharpness? SELP-18200.

I've read nothing but great reviews about this lens so I bought it but every time I take a picture with flash with my Sony a6000 I get a black shadow on the left hand side of the picture. Is anyone e experiencing this and If so what did you do to take that off.
