RS3 Player Tries OSRS for the first time.. GIM #1

Starts with the most RS3 content possible (at least, I think so -- Todt). I actually quit RS3 in about 2021, being very high ranked for 10 HP all combat (and before that, the account was rank #3 or so for Magic/Prayer pure). Terrible game despite the amazing parts. Ironman is really the only way to play RS3 now, and I think, also the only 'purist' or serious way to play OSRS (unless you just want all 200ms, then normal-scape is still somewhat okay). I honestly think Todt is not only the worst update to OSRS, though a purist might say the G.E. or something. Either way, it's clearly the most non-2007 and most RS3/OP content other than maybe entire areas of the game (likely, Todt is even better, overall). It's far worse than even EoC, I think. Sadly, many OSRS players vote 'yes' to any update that isn't EoC, including Todt, G.E., new areas, new skills, Bonds (assuming they were asked about that), GotR, and any future update that might hurt OSRS's purity in the short or long-term. Many top OSRS players have already quit or want to quit since 2020 or so, and to lesser degrees, since about 2017. Major shifts have come over the last years, and this trend seems to be only getting stronger. We'll see how it goes over next 3 years, I guess. High Bond prices will hurt the game, too.

tbf, you don't have to pay for drop tracker, or xp/hr if using alt1 on rs3. Basically rune lite, but without plugins.

So I've decided to give osrs a try but the game keeps freezing every time I load up a new area, any clue on a fix? It's unplayable at this point.
My pc is more than capable of playing it, it just stops loading. I have to close the client and restart it through the jagex launcher every few minutes.
EDIT: I've started using RuneLite and that seems to have fixed the issue for me.

Don’t feel bad about comparing everything to RS3. It’s pretty interesting to hear what the differences are for us people who respect both games but only play oldschool.

Watched your vids when I was playing RS3. 1,5 years ago, as a maxed player with 120 dung, quest cape, etc. I quit RS3 and started an OSRS account. So nice to see you make the switch as well. Good content, keep 'em coming!

Listening to you talk about rs3 is great. Never played it but it's fun hearing how our sister game works compared to rs3. I feel like a humble farmer being regailed with stories from the city folk 😊

Rs3 just ruined itself with necromancy and end game is as boring as ever yall picked a good time. 2 months in and our gims got all hard diaries, torso and quest capes definitely enjoying it

I'm sorry but the rs3 team hates qol updates, they would rather push MTX updates.

I always encourage people to run Wintertodt solo. The amount of construction exp you get, if you solo till 99, will often take you directly to Song of the Elves requirements. I calculated it to be around ~100k gp per hour in value of construction exp.

Hardcore Iron Man is sub optimal because you can't die for prayer exp, amazing.
