I prefer Ward because they seem to hold up better, shoe strings are correct size and not too long, and they are easier to find without suede.

I don’t get why people would choose ward they fit worse and don’t even get sold on the vans website, makes me feel like the wards are lower quality, i thought the wards i had were old schools at first until I realized they’re way different, thought they were fake vans😂

Vans Ward platform fits a little bit smaller than your actual size. For example, I’ve always had Vans Old Skool, with and without platform, and they fit really well! Instead, for Vans Ward Platform, they fits a little bit smaller and it’s noticeable

What should i buy for lifting? The Wards or Old Skool?

I have a couple questions on fit differences. Ive owned like 5 pairs of Wards and no Old Skools, lol.
1. Which feel flatter/more minimalist/more barefoot feeling inside? I use it as a lifting shoe and the key qualities are thin/flat/hard/stable sole, almost barefoot-like feel.
2. Which fits wider?
3. Which goes higher up the ankle? It almost appears like the laces on Old Skools are higher elevated than Wards.

I was undecided about which ones to buy, after seeing your video I got worse. I like both looks, but I think I'll prefer the old skool ones because they have better heel support and I spend a lot of time on my feet at work and so I can always wear them there one day or another.
