Latex Tutorial 0 of 11: Introduction, Preface

Why use Latex? This video is the introduction for my set of eleven tutorials on putting together a report in Latex.

When I first started using Latex I found the learning curve to be really steep. After mucking around on the internet, I found the best way to learn was to have a report I could dissect so I could understand the commands and what was going on. Many of the video tutorials that I came across didn't really go into detail as to how to put together a report that met my style requirements. I hope to show you in these videos what Latex is capable of in terms of formatting, and show you the basics of putting together a report!

I also recommend other resources to help you get started in using Latex.
