I think this will further fragment android, both from a developer perspective and now visual perspective.

I like it.  One of the things I liked about iOS is that it looks nicer than android.  Now that might not be the case.

Gmail app is really ugly. I literally feel sick when I look at it. Gray with red accents look nicer imo. Maybe it's because I'm used to holo. I really like the music app though.

To me they need to change the animations on the OS too. It's freaking boring since Android came to the market.

As long as I don't have to reach a button that is located the farthest possible distance from my thumb or have to use some swiping gesture I'm happy.

PS - While it's a cleaner look in some ways, I don't necessarily see it as an aesthetic improvement. But 'eye of the beholder' and all that jazz.

The best part is android interfaces are getting more minimalist and simple, but ios interfaces are getting more complex. With the widgets on notification tray and recent peoples in multitasking, it's really not good idea.

I love how this looks flatter but less flatter at the same time. Plus Android is finally getting some splashes of colours, no matter who inspired it.

I kinda like it. Then again I've Always liked the Metro Design Language as well.

Microsoft laid a trapped on both apple and android. They indulged minimalism...
I'm sure microsoft would withdraw from this UI and form a "Physical Portmanteau" pf Aero and Metro UI's

Android is late copying Windows Phone, iOS was first.

Some Windows Modern UI design elements & functions + a bit of colors burrowed from Apple.
Google has got steeling down to a science, gotta give them that.
