How to Automatically Eliminate Duplicate Lists in Microsoft Word : Microsoft Word Help

I don't want to go through a huge list this way when It's already sorted alpha. How can you sort so the dupes are highlighted and therefore easy to find?

Check a dictionary. I have a sneaky suspicion that you dont know what "automatically" means. This is a manual deletion one by one

better option, paste this list in excel. which does have a remove duplicate function that is difficult to work with but might work for some lists.

Please correct your title. Definition of automatic: (of a device or process) working by itself with little or no direct human control. Definition of manual: (of a machine or device) worked by hand, not automatically or electronically.

Not what I had in mind either, as said by many others, however this will still make my job a heck of a lot easier and faster. Any Idea how to do this if your list is not numbered with word's system? Everything I have is numbered but it is all copy and pasted to the list manually so when I sort them, they are sorted by number which leaves this method useless. Any way to filter how it sorts to bypass the first 4 character or all numbers in general?
