How to fix sticky motorcycle throttle

My dad's cousin passed away on a dirt track because his throttle got stuck in a corner, I love maintenance

Bro tell something about late accelerator response.... sometime I pull the throttle but bike accelerates approx a half or 1 sec latter

Damage accelerator wire can cause this too.

Certain bar ends. Happend to my k7 gsxr1000. It's your boy sazon

Get a cable luber and keep em lubed. Only about $10 and connects to any spray can stinger.

Bar ends can also cause throttle to stick as well as a cracked throttle tube

I have the same throttle lock as seen in first clip. Same thing happens with mine. Take it off if you don’t like it.

Cable routing also affects this too.

Any manual, clutch in and brake if your throttle jams and people just dont do this

Also another problem can be dirt in the throttle cable housing on the handlebars. I had issues with my throttle sticking on my enduro bike. Just take apart the assembly, clean and lube. Worked almost better it felt like.

My bad luck is the cables usually get rusted or they snap when they do get rusted. I usually grab WD-40 just to try to save it 40% of the time you could save it little trick. I learned when I was a little kid trying to save bicycle brakes using WD-40.

My Piaggio Ciao moped allows me to ride handless, which is pretty cool because i can now wipe my a** while i'm in a hurry cuz i forgot to at home (I need 2 hands on my boot don't judge me.)

Riding an automatic or a scooter and that happens to you would be a nightmare come true. But basically, just pull the clutch lever like he said and things will be fine

Have the same scooter. Whenever I carry it or lay in on one side in the car while I transport it the grip touches the thumb thing and it literally doesn't move. Sometimes it moves enough to where I go but can't stop. Thank god the scooter actually can just ignore throttle input if on the brakes

On a carbureted motorcycle like a dirt bike it could be that the needle is not set correctly

Just lube the cable, amd if you didnt know about depressing the clutch you shouldnt be driving, anything

At some bikes it can be that the gas wire sawed it's way through the line. (Happened to me. Drove 4 years than it happened)

Mine was the screw down weight on the bar end was pushing the grip up against the throttle housing.. I was going from 5th to 6th on the highway and when it hit the clutch it went straight to the rev limiter, changed my grips and got rid of those weights now it snaps right back..

My ebike had the shut off swapped for 4 way flashers, no cut off anymore

Also could be sticky throttle body, nothing a bit of carb cleaner can't fix I guess

Yo thanks I just got a bike and have this problem, I thought it was my throttle tube but I’ll check the cables eventually now.

When i picked up me r6 from the ferry the grip was touching the throttle body and wasn’t moving I panicked so hard but then i just moved it 😂

Whatever happens just pull the clutch it works every time.
