I found that modafinil robbed my sleep in the long term. I don't believe that I was getting quality sleep which in return made for this cycle of constantly needing it to function without sleep. It really doesn't make sense to take it once you realize that -- maybe other people are different. Also, once you get into that zombie state - of needing modafinil to function because you aren't getting quality sleep - you start to feel really uptight. Luckily, it only takes a few tiresome days to feel normal again once you stop -- at least at the surface level.
