NO. We will never get along. Transparency will not do it. Brokers are simply no longer necessary. Before technology made it possible, brokers were on the ground and provided a service to truckers. Thar service is outdated and obsolete. Brokers only exist as a shipper convenience and they are no good for carriers.

When he says “gross sales” does that include what they pay to drivers or just broker fees?

This is TOO funny! The scenario that he mentioned where brokers are useful are 10% of what they actually are involved in! As a carrier with 5 trucks I can’t tell you enough how fraudulent this side of the story is! 10-15% lol, more like 25-50% on spot market. Real carriers cannot get direct freight anymore because they’re sucking them all up and leave no options for us anymore. Here’s a FACT, If you end the Brokers, the carriers would THRIVE AGAIN! If you ended the asset based carrier the industry would DIE!!!

Carriers, low debt and if possible equipment paid off, and stick to your rate that covers your cpm and brings you profit. These brokers are greedy and brutal and if you are forced to run on cost its just a matter of time before you're bankrupt or in deep debt. Not worth it. Ive been sitting a lot and just enjoying life while these brokers destroy each other and kill capacity. Good luck everyone.

Broker should get flat % rate on every load, should be law. It's another screw job on the truckers. Drivers take all the risk, and only get a small portion or halk of the total load pay. What a joke. More regulation on brokers is s must
