Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens review: How good is Canon's new kit lens?

Thanks for the info, I was really confused about how the front ring or rotator works. Initially, I thought it didn't work at all, or maybe it was just for the show. Haha. My bad.

I'm considering this lens for my Canon R. Naturally, I have the Canon EF-RF adapter. Does anyone see a problem with that arrangement? (I'm working on a tight budget and am new to photography.)

Could someone tell me that if I have canon EPS 18-55 mm lens, what lens is recommended to buy to upgrade this lens? I have canon EOS 100D

So if I wanted 50mm lens, would this be okay because it’s 18mm-55mm?

I bought it after my first 18-55mm lense autofocus broke. Unfortunately the shape of the new 18-55mm doesn’t fit in my underwater housing anymore and I have to buy a new ring adapter if I want to use the zoom.... I’m very disappointed...also the distortion give quite ugly results underwater.

You must have a different version from mine. Mine doesn't have the image stabilization. Miine came with the camera, I didn't have to buy it separately.

i have the newest version (f4-5.6), i don't know what is the diference but this one is so quite, that when i first tried it, i though the autofocus wasn't working 😂 i even made a video comparing it with the nifty-fifty, and it wins in speed and sound, but i would like to see a comparison betwen the 3.5-5.6 vs 4-5.6

I cant seem to get my aperture below f5.6, it can go up but I cant get the setting any lower. Any suggestions?
