In my bungalow in Bagram military base was a photo of a Humvee that hit a mine. A female captain was killed in that incident. Shortly after that the US Army took some interest in the South African Mamba Mine Protected Vehicle and their EOD personnel bought the Cougar hull and put in a more powerful American drive train. It was used with great success and took numerous hits with very little life lost. I was always proud walking past a Cougar and think: that's how we the Boer do it.

A wasteful war that the only winner is the US by selling massive amounts of weapons to EU. But it does not end there, EU is forced to also submit to the US and become US energy dependent at exhobrant prices.
The biggest losers are the Ukrainians with a few hundered thousands of men KIA and many more permanantly disabled not to mention a devastated country with ruined infrastructure and about 10 million of its population migerated out of Ukraine.

This should have never happened, it was easily avoidable but a naive, geopolitically inexperienced Ukrainian population with a puppet government brought horror of war to Ukraine that will put the country at least 50 years behind with massive amount of reconstruction debt!

This defies the normal definition of stupidity and brings it to a whole new level!
