HOW TO MAKE LANCASHIRE BUTTER PIE (Catholic Pie)

This was cheap easy and delicious. The pastry was out of this world so much so I’m going to recreate it for pasties xx

Just as you mentioned the variety of potato I was writing "You didn't mention the variety of..." This is a real peeve of mine esp when you're describing a recipe to someone who may be unsure of what potato to use. I'm so glad you did this because most cooks/chefs never say a word. I remember having an argument with GR and JO, you can work out those chef's names, about this very subject. Anyway great job and this is a fantastic pie. I sometime slip some fresh prawns into it just for fun 🙂

As a Lancashire Lass born in Preston, this is my absolute favourite savoury pie. Although I’m not catholic, I’ve eaten this pie since I was little. Our local pie shop closed recently, so I’ll have to have a go with your recipe. This looks delicious 😋 Thank you ❤
