How To Convert WIRED to WIRELESS CarPlay

After several tests of this unit, it works awesome! It started to pair much faster after the first pair. Hopefully long term it holds up as well. I tested music and audio books both worked PERFECT!!!

This seems like a fantastic product but if that box had wireless charging also I would love to be able to simply place my phone on top of it and instantly have CarPlay and a charged battery!

Any way to update the head unit software? Parts of the screen seems to become unresponsive over time and each time apple releases a new version of IOS the head unit becomes wacky as in randomly opens every single app listed in car play all at same time

Reading the most recent reviews on Amazon for this device it seems hit or miss. A lot of people say it disconnects randomly - sometimes reconnecting on its own, but often requiring them to unplug it from USB then plug it back in. are you still using this 2 years later and is it still working? So much of the stuff sold on Amazon is ultimate junk and has no long term reliability. It truly is the flea market of the internet unfortunately. even with over 4500 reviews, there is no clear feel for it's reliability.

Funny you mention charging because constant charging of my phone while on wired CarPlay is one of the things I want to get away from since keeping battery at 100% shortens its life.

I just got a 2023 Santa Fe and it has a wireless charger but only wired CarPlay, which makes zero sense. I want to convert it so I don’t have a mess of cables and can actually use the charger as intended. 🙄🤦‍♂️

What happens if you plug in your phone with the wireless CarPlay? Will it still work while it’s charging??

You still have to use the available USB port in the cabin and have to tuck the little box away with a wire poking out. I am trying to find something that might connect to the back of the radio and is out of the way.

Does golf GTE not have wireless CarPlay? It says on my screen connect with a USB, but then I have to use cable all the time to use the CarPlay or else it goes back to vw menu.

Happy plugging it in. Connection is 100% reliable and Wireless charging takes forever.

Thanks for your video. I purchased the same Carlinkit as you. I have a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy which is on the approved list on Carlinkit website. It works fine however when I look at my iphone 12 it shows my Santa Fe is not connected as well as the Carlinkit. Any suggestions?
