Now i have imported one to Reaper, however i want to deleate a section of the begining and mive the song over to the start. Without the long silence fir the first three bars.??? Is this possible .??? I have not found out how to do this. Hope to get some answers from you thanks cheers Henny.

Hi Kenny,
I'm fairly new to Reaper. I started running it on a PC and everything ran great. Now, I run it to a Mac and even upgraded to Reaper V7.03 and have problems getting signal for my analog inputs (level meter does not move and recorded audio is silent/empty). Could anybody point me in the right direction?
I did some troubleshooting as follows:
- cable connections are good
- correct audio device is selected in preferences/audio/device
- the track is armed
- the correct input is selected
- On my audio interface loop-back mixer, I can see the signal meter moving for both inputs
- Volume levels are high enough on the inputs to capture signal

Am I missing anything? Please help!
Thanks!

I just bought Reaper a couple of days ago. Coming from FL, Reaper definitely takes the cake!

Thanks for the awesome videos Kenny! You’ve made my transition super smooth with all the tutorials you got! 🎉

Love Kenny's videos, they've taught me so much and continue to. A couple of thoughts after watching this video. I find that using a low pass filter on electric guitar can help take out some of the harshness that can come with using amp sim plugins etc - worth experimenting with those. Also, using an eq on reverb to control/prevent unpleasant build-up of that same harshness can be worth experimenting with. Finally, if Kenny could find me a way to get the guitar tones of ACDC's Malcolm Young or Mike Campbell from the Heartbreakers, or the thick clean guitar sounds of the 1960s Beatles (for example the riff in 'I Feel Fine') using only 'in the box' fx and amp sims (and stopping short of the cost of things like a Kemper profiling amp) I would forever be grateful. Its an area of great frustration and I suspect the only cure is a real amp in a real (carpeted) room and some expensive pedals etc.

I've watched with 1.25 speed, somehow I realised, I like this song more a bit faster. :)

Hey kenny. Lovely tutorials as always. Wanted to request some tutorial on mixing drum beat / electronic drums (not the acoustic band drums). As for some reason. I find it pretty hard to mix them. Waiting for your videos on this topic.

What I hear is out-of-tune guitars (the single note call and response ones!. The reverb helps hide the worst of it but my to my ears, the tuning really bugs me. It makes it sound somewhat amateurish. I'm not trying to troll or be mean, but they aren't in tune with the rest. Mixing electric guitars with an acoustic guitar backing is always a slippery slope. An acoustic is never really perfectly in tune so you have to juggle the electric tuning to try and match the inherent wonkyness of the acoustics. I would say trust the digital guitar tuner up to a certain point and then trust your ears. The tuner may tell you you're spot-on but your ears will tell you a different story. I AM a guitarist, home studio guy and songwriter so I'm not just an a**hole who wants to stir up the muck.

I can only echo the other comments. I'm slowly transitioning from Cubase to Reaper, and your videos have made it much easier. Thank you!
