Even if they are from the same manufacturer, I wouldn't buy Neiko since they don't offer a lifetime warranty. Tekton is so ridiculously hassle free...it's awesome.
ОтветитьTekton is amazing
ОтветитьNot the nicest kit, i like complete kits in 1/2 3/8 sizes
ОтветитьGlad to know they are Cr-v
ОтветитьI've had the Neiko set for me and used on my Raptor with zero issues. I have an entirely metric deep set, might be an older version.
ОтветитьThank you for the great info. keep the family 1st.
ОтветитьTotally understand the having a really young daughter..I have a autistic 11 1/2 years old son who is also susceptible to occasional epileptic seizures and I am a full custodial single father so..
ОтветитьWhen was that Tekton set manufactured?Just from the cases alone you can see Tekton has been stepping it up with all of their products. Actual hinges and quality locking latches in all sets nowadays.
ОтветитьGreat videos, Thanks for your honest opinion of tools. Straight up, and honest!!! My tools are always on the move! Off road mainly.
ОтветитьWelcome back! Do not apologize. Family and health are important.
Ответитьwelcome back, was wondering what happened good to know you’re okay 👍
ОтветитьMy opinion. I have noticed my tekton sockets and snap on sockets (impacts) DO wear out at almost the same rate. These sockets are of course soft and will start to bow out and warp and they need to be trashed. Two other things. Sent pics of my tekton sockets and got them later that week. Snap on man refused to warrant my sockets because it was all normal wear or whatever. Love snap on because there American made. But there prices and everytbing else it’s no wonder tekton and icon tools are taking over the newer generations tool boxes.
ОтветитьHello Project Karr
I just found your channel and subscribed. I agree with you about the Tekton and Neico tools look very similar. I don't own either of them currently. But I am researching for my next tool purchase. Most of tools are old school Craftsman. And I will need to upgrade my replacements. My trade is Aviation Maintenance. So my hardware is all SAE/Standard and for the most part twelve points. Having said that, I do have some six points hardware. I am looking forward to seeing more of your content. Again thank you 😊
Missed ya
ОтветитьFamily first my man! 💯.
ОтветитьNice find!
Ответить🛠😎🛠😎
ОтветитьI have that same Tekton set that I got in 2019 for $59.84 and was my most commonly used set for awhile.. It covers most of the common sizes (I really like that they include an SAE equivalent marking on some of them!) but the skips and the fact that I sometimes need a thin-wall socket (e.g. 21mm thin wall for Toyotas, or smaller 3/8" drive 21mm) meant I had to buy more sets as I got into more projects that I didn't anticipate would need some rarer sizes at the time. Picking a large new set was AGONIZING, as there is no perfect set that includes everything.😆 Tekton needs to make a large, complete mechanic set to soothe our souls! 😃
ОтветитьI have impact sockets from Tekton, Craftsmam Tiawan made, Kobalt, and Pittsburgh Pro, and I'm 99.9% sure they are all the same sockets.
ОтветитьGreat video. Have you tried King Tony tools?
ОтветитьProbably... I know for a fact that some Tekton and Pittsburgh Pro are sourced from the same place...doesn't necessarily make it bad...some stuff is good, some stuff is junk... that's any brand
ОтветитьThose are the old Tekton impacts. The newer items are roll stamped and laser etched. The higher price pays for Tekton’s awesome warranty
ОтветитьProject Karr.. If Tekton doesn't manufacture them they are not a Tekton rebrand but rather Neiko had the same manufacturer that makes the Tekton set, make theirs.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьCan't rebrand something you don't make. You can find many identical products as "Tekton" branded products, usually much cheaper by other labels. With Tekton you pay a premium for the warranty and shipping charges built in.
ОтветитьI’ve always had my suspicions they were selling similar/same products. Thanks for the video!
ОтветитьFamily first buddy
ОтветитьNo need to apologize for taking time away. Great video as always.
ОтветитьYour tool set reviews convinced me to look into Tekton. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you for the knowledge.
ОтветитьHey man glad to see you're back.
ОтветитьWelcome back
ОтветитьNo apologies needed, you need to focus on important stuff
ОтветитьWelcome back. They look super similar. Most likely when Tekton ending their agreement with that OEM, Neiko picked up the ball.
ОтветитьWelcome back! I appreciated all the tool set reviews you did last year so I could make an educated buy.
