I feel so bad for speedrunners who have to not only do this during a run, but practice it without a quick way to get back to the level because it's in the body phases (I fully encourage save states for this lmao)

Yeah I think this was already discovered a few years ago when GameChamp 3000 did a video on Octo-Expansion minimum shot run. She had to use that “shortcut” to save a shot.

Not to discredit you in any way, but I’m just saying that I don’t think this is new.
